We are currently seeking an Account Support Specialist to join our team in Wichita, KS. As an Account Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to provide administrative support, technical service, and professional support for our core bank function. This role is responsible for customer service and managing customer requests, in addition to product support and promotion.

Essential functions of the role:

  • Engage with customers to foster ongoing relationships
  • Process customer requests including account inquiries, account maintenance, and provide support for deposit and loan products
  • Completes necessary documentation to support customer request and route to appropriate parties
  • Update bank systems as needed and monitor communication queues daily
  • Continually seek sales opportunities to develop additional business through promotion of products and services to achieve goals
  • Collaborate with other retail departments to fulfill identified financial opportunities
  • Effectively communicate with customers across all platforms (i.e., email, phone, etc.)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of customer service experience required
  • 1+ years of sales experience required
  • Successfully pass a credit check required
  • 1+ years of bank experience preferred
  • Proficiency with large server based applications and Microsoft Office products preferred

Hours:

40 hours any shift during that time

Monday Friday: 7:30 AM 8:05 PM (hours will vary)

Saturday: 8:30 AM 2:00 PM (Rotating)

We are community committed; our goal is that every person who enters our bank will be better off financially for having made the choice to bank with us. * Handles an average of 400 loan maintenance requests monthly that are received by email, fax, phone and internal transaction management system. Responsible to research and analyze requests verifying it as valid and within scope of authority. Process those requests received within the departmental established Service Level Agreements. This includes but is not limited to changes to loan customer information, billing, billing disputes, credit reporting, loan coding, product and collateral data, payment posting corrections, verifying system calculations and crediting loan amortizations, and waiving fees or interest. * Ensures proper booking of new commercial and consumer loans, renewals, amendments and letter of credit including the earnings of all loan fees/costs in accordance to loan policy. * Responsible for follow up communication on maintenance requests, and informing Service Manager daily of unresolved requests. * Prepares payoff requests from internal and external sources, and completes Credit and Mortgage verification requests. * Reviews numerous loan reports making sure loans function correctly and to prevent processing or customer service issues. Reports are mandated by SOX requirements and ensure quality control. Reports include but are not limited to USDA, Adjustable Rates, Construction Draw reports for authorization to process Loan Advance Requests. * Process Escrow disbursements of taxes, insurance as well as PMI coverage. * Review monthly escrow analysis statements & process surplus payments * Handles all incoming/outgoing telephone inquiries concerning loan information. * Stays current in knowledge of software, bank products, rates and regulatory requirements. * Other duties as may be assigned from time to time. * Responsible for adhering to and complying with all Bank policies and procedures, all applicable federal and state laws and regulatory guidance governing financial institutions, including but not limited to , Federal Deposit Insurance Improvement ACT (FDICIA), FACT ACT, Bank Secrecy ACT, Regulation CC, and EEO/AA/FAIR Employment Practices Job Requirements * High School diploma or equivalent. * One to Three years previous financial services experience preferred. * Good understanding of loan products, functions, policies and procedures as well as loan documentation required by bank policy and state and federal regulations. * Must have analytical skills, organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet daily deadlines. * Good understanding of loan data systems, loan accounting, strong personal computer skills and ability to learn new systems. * Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to work well with others and interact with Bank's Lenders and Officers. * Ability to work independently with little supervision EOE Equity Bank Wichita KS
