At Drake Cooper, the Account Supervisor is responsible for leading all day-to-day activity on their accounts. They serve as the primary client contact and are seen as the central leader of an account by internal agency teams. A successful Account Supervisor will establish a collaborative relationship with the client and internal team. The Account Supervisor works directly with every agency discipline at Drake Cooper and carries the primary responsibility of delivering work on-time, on-budget, and in accordance with agreed-upon strategies and objectives. The Account Supervisor knows the status of every project the agency is working on for their client and will often take a leadership role in bringing projects from inception to completion while communicating with the client throughout the process. The Account Supervisor is capable of leading nearly any size of agency project for their client.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the development of all client projects and campaigns through the agency. Most often the Account Supervisor is personally leading these efforts; they will also oversee Account Managers or Account Coordinators on smaller client needs.
  • Keeps the Account Director involved and aware of the activities happening across the account; seeks their guidance, support, and assistance when necessary on client projects and events.
  • Keeps a healthy and positive day-to-day agency/client working relationship.
  • Is comfortable calling attention to projects or assignments that have fallen off-track; is equally excited to relay positive messages and be supportive of agency teams for their work/effort.
  • Seeks to be involved with account planning and strategy teams to co-author briefs and seek collaboration and approval with their client.
  • Manages the development, and client approval, of media campaigns as they run through the agency; works directly with the media team to ensure accurate and innovative media plans.
  • Manages the development, and client approval, of creative campaign concepts and productions by serving as the primary client liaison from the beginning to the end of each campaign.
  • Continually watches the health of their accounts internally; tracks that all jobs, campaigns, and deliverables align to approved marketing plans (or equivalent).
  • Must be comfortable working with all agency disciplines, including media teams, digital teams, creative art directors and writers, marketing analysts, account planners, production teams, research teams, internal finance, and agency leadership teams.
  • Involved in, and often oversee, monthly billing on their accounts; ensures that all projects are falling within scope and that agency work is falling within client-approved estimates/SOWs/media plans.
  • On certain accounts, the Account Supervisor may be asked to manage status reports, arrange meetings for teams/clients, and ensure that all action items from such activities are accounted for.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working relationship across all agency team disciplines.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of agency account management experience.
  • Has already demonstrated the ability to lead portions of an account, or already leading smaller accounts, entirely on their own.

Summary Manages client service, program development and execution activities, and financial performance. Oversees and troubleshoots the implementation and delivery of programs and partners with account director to lead strategic development of account. What You'll Do * Develop marketing programs and manage program activity with the account and strategic planning teams * Own the development of the proposal/deck presentations; gain input and approval from account director/lead * Partner with the client, strategic planning, and account director/lead in the development of marketing and/or communication briefs * Manage the creative process and delivery of relevant materials including briefing the creative team and evaluating concepts, creative executions, media plans and production materials to ensure they are on strategy * Assist client in evaluating the effectiveness of developed marketing programs and determine next steps * Interact with relevant agency departments to clearly outline current and projected workload on a periodic basis for resource planning * Providing well-grounded recommendations and guidance to clients based on their objectives and business needs * Keep account director/lead fully informed of account activity, challenges and opportunities ongoing * Function as primary day-to-day liaison to clients on program tactics, project implementation, client service, strategic thought leadership, and opportunities and challenges in any of these areas * Lead internal and client meetings, deliver presentations and prepares needed materials, including agendas, presentation decks and follow up communications * Partner with the account director/lead to keep agency team informed of client requests and changes; anticipate potential problems; proactively develop solutions and allocate resources * Track and revise budgets as needed based on client requests; alert client of financial implications and ensure that approvals to proceed are Manage workflow to adhere to timelines. * In partnership with account director/lead identify reporting and benchmarking requirements for the client with regards to program performance and for the agency with regards to profitability, develop appropriate reporting tools, and report results * Provide constructive evaluation of strategic documents and creative briefs offering appropriate direction ongoing * Research the client's category and competitive landscape, author POVs on program strategies and tactics, and in partnership with account director/lead, define key strategic issues and opportunities and the impact on client objectives, and share information with clients and internal teams * Secure all necessary client approvals * Lead development of direct reports through mentorship, coaching and ongoing performance feedback and identification of learning opportunities * Enter time reports once a week, at a minimum, and expense reports within 10 days of incurred expense * Approve time for team once a week, at a minimum, and approve expenses within 2 days of receipt Our Ideal Candidate * Retail channel expertise with 5+ years experience in shopper-related role * 6-8 years of advertising, marketing, agency account management, brand management and/or related experience required * 6+ years of Shopper and Customer/Trade marketing experience * Comprehensive knowledge of client category, business, and objectives, and a clear understanding of key strategic issues impacting client's business * Ability to communicate clearly, thoroughly, succinctly and logically both verbally and in written form * Strong attention to detail, organization and process orientation, demonstrated through actions such as effectively proofing work to ensure accuracy, and actively and effectively managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously * Ability to effectively analyze results, interpret data, draw sound conclusions, and develop insightful and actionable recommendations * Proactive approach, demonstrated by successfully anticipating potential problems/obstacles, communicating concerns, and developing and executing on solutions * Ability to lead and influence clients and manage expectations effectively by providing sound counsel, identifying and implementing recommendations that advance/improve client's business, educating the client on when/where the agency can be most impactful, and proactively communicating project progress * Track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships * Bring proactive and positive attitude to staff and client relationship * Proven ability to build and maintain strong client and inter-agency relationships * Proven ability to self-motivate * Proven ability to successfully juggle multiple projects simultaneously Who We Are Geometry is the world's largest and most international brand activation agency.
