ABOUT THE ACCOUNT SPECIALIST ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

GigMasters.com, based in South Norwalk, CT, is seeking a full-time Account Services rock star to join our growing department. The team's mission is to be obsessively focused on providing the absolute best experience for GigMasters' performers and clients, while also exceeding GigMasters' monthly revenue goals. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing, event planning or inside sales role, a positive attitude and a strong desire to wow users.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Field inbound questions from members, clients and prospects via phone, email, and text

  • Proactively engage members, clients and prospects via phone and email

  • Help GigMasters clients find and book the perfect vendors for their special events

  • Sell new memberships and Featured Profiles to prospective members

  • Assist existing members with renewal and membership-related issues

  • Encourage existing members to upgrade their memberships

  • Ensure service inquiries are handled timely and accurately - with a smile of course!

  • Suggest efficiency improvements, working with manager to determine best ways to implement

  • Ensure all tasks are kept up on a daily basis. Develop ways to make tasks more efficient, when possible

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills

  • Strong communications skills, both written and oral

  • Highly detail-oriented

  • Positive attitude

  • Strong work ethic

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing, event-planning or inside sales role preferred

  • Experience with ecommerce sales and metrics preferred

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Discover how much more is possible as you grow or advance your career. SUMMARY Account Manager is assigned for accounts normally generating $25,000 or more in annual revenue. This role is part of the overall account management team that includes the Producer, Account Executive, and Account Specialist. All Account Management will be handled by this individual. This job is approximately 70% internal and 30% client interfacing – including frequent client discussions as necessary and participation in meetings / presentations to decision makers and employees. Comfortable conducting client meetings, employee meetings and employee webinars are essential. Must have the capability to handle a diversified workload with the ability to prioritize, clearly communicate within a structured team model to the appropriate team member and carrier representatives; display a high degree of professionalism; be detail oriented; dependable; process work independently, but work as part of the team; and possess excellent computer skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prospects: * Work closely within a team environment including the Producer, Account Executive, assigned to the prospect to: gather, review and evaluate current benefit plans, financial data and funding arrangements; * Organize current data into a format that can be used to market the account and may be used as summary of key information about prospect; and * Meet with prospect as part of the team, as required. New Clients and Current Clients: Working closely with the Producer and Account Executive to: * Prepare and manage a timeline for the implementation process; * Organize and conduct enrollment meetings; * Preparation of employee communication pieces; * Follow up for re-enrollment forms, reviewing contracts and summary plan descriptions; * Initiate, coordinate and actively handle client wellness program; and * Meet via conference calls or in person with the carriers and the client to stay on track and cover all aspects of implementation. Miscellaneous: * Follow through with assigned Account Executive or Producers on presented proposals to find out outcome; * Continuously expand knowledge within Wellness; * Participate on Stewardship presentations and meetings as directed by Account Executive or Practice Leader; * Update and maintain assigned accounts in our agency management system BenefitPoint; * Maintain client files to meet E&O guidelines as designed by management; * Preparation of the Annual Utilization Medical Scorecard with recommendations to curtail claim costs; * Provide ongoing consultation by answering administration questions, plan recommendations, discussing regulatory updates, assistance with escalated claim issues at the Client level, service issues with the carriers and serving as a resource to the client for all benefit related needs; * Determine if the client is a candidate for a health management plan/wellness plan. If so, make recommendations and provide active participation as required to achieve client's Wellness goals; * Determine if the client is in need of an eligibility management system and/or employee self serve and/or static web portal for communication; * Follow-up on Schedule A Form 5500 from carriers and deliver to client; and * Work closely with Producer, Account Executive & Account Specialist on all assigned accounts. Maintenance of Benefit Plans: Maintain benefit plans through account management activities such as: * Pro-active recommendations; * Regular contact and communication with the client, carriers and Producers; * Regularly reviewing financial information and continually alerting client to how the plan is running to set expectations; * Assist in preparation/presentation of monthly or quarterly claim review and presentation of claims in our formats. * Preparation of the Annual Utilization Medical Scorecard with recommendations to curtail claim costs * Provide ongoing consultation by answering administration questions, plan recommendations, discussing regulatory updates, assistance with escalated claim issues at the Client level, service issues with the carriers and serving as a resource to the client for all benefit related needs * Determine if the client is a candidate for a health management plan/wellness plan. If so, make recommendations and provide active participation as required to achieve client's Wellness goals; * Determine if the client is in need of an eligibility management system and/or employee self serve and/or static web portal for communication. * Work closely with Producer on all assigned accounts. QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of 3 to 5 year experience in the Employee Benefits insurance brokerage/consulting is preferred. * Maintain a valid State appropriate insurance license for Life/Health. * Possess strong communication skills necessary for interacting with prospects, existing clients and making presentations. * Demonstrate an understanding of Employee Benefit Insurance terminology, products and services. * High proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and web based agency management systems such as Benefitpoint and ImageRight preferred * College Degree is preferred.
