This position is a hybrid role that requires two to three days in the office based upon the needs of the organization.

Salary Range: $51,043-$65,499 annual base salary plus a 10% discretionary bonus potential.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Prefer a four-year degree in business or health administration (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of three years of professional experience.

  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint and have the ability to learn and proficiently use other computer programs.

  • Requires an active Colorado producer license, or the ability to attain license within six months of start date.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with various delivery channels and clients.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening to clients' needs, addressing inquiries promptly and accurately, and resolving issues to their satisfaction, resulting in a consistently positive customer experience.

  • Independent problem solving, critical thinking, research, and analytical skills; able to interpret data/reports and effectively communicate impacts to Account Managers and clients.

  • Contributes to basic strategic development initiatives by conducting research, analyzing market trends, and assisting in the formulation of strategic plans, enabling the organization to adapt to changing environments and capitalize on emerging opportunities.

  • Solid organizational, facilitation and time management skills; proactive and outcome oriented.

  • Solid ability to exercise initiative and judgment as well as make decisions within the scope of authority; consistently demonstrating a proactive, inquisitive approach.

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively craft and communicate targeted messages as directed by the Small Business & Individual Manager.

  • Process improvement oriented; demonstrated ability to recognize and articulate opportunities for improvement.

  • Ability to prepare and deliver targeted client proposals.

  • Understanding of employee benefits environment, insurance business, products, and competitors in the market.

  • Team player with an appreciation of how sales-related decisions impact the rest of the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Researches, gathers, and collates information required to support the determination of specific strategies and plans to retain and grow business in the various target segments assigned in order to meet or exceed annual Sales and Client Services targets. Works in tandem with the Small Business & Individual Unit in the execution of these strategies and plans.

  • Conducts relevant research and analysis to design attractive customer driven growth and retention solutions that make good business sense for DDCO for assigned book of business.

  • Works in tandem with the Small Business & Individual Unit in the preparation of renewal and growth specific presentations, proposals, and bids. Collaborates effectively cross-departmentally with Group Administration, Eligibility, Marketing, and Underwriting.

  • Clearly and consistently communicates DDCO's value proposition and adapts Delta Dental's key differentiators to the needs of a specific audience.

  • Responsible to clients for coordinating enrollment needs and scheduling, including preparation of pre-enrollment, post-enrollment and renewal materials for broker and/or client.

  • Partners with Small Business & Individual Unit in all aspects of client management, including renewal, triage, and resolution of account issues and plan changes, reporting, and education.

  • Works cohesively with all DDCO processes and functions to deliver seamless and high-quality service internally and externally. Contributes to continuous process improvement by generating and sharing opportunities for improvement at regular Sales and Client Services meetings.

  • Maintains awareness and consideration of how Sales and Client Services decisions impact other DDCO processes and functions. Ensures quality deliverables to all processes and functions, with a specific emphasis on Group Administration and Analytics.

  • Proactively probes for, and monitors, competitor intelligence, market environment and industry trends as well as satisfaction with Delta Dental of Colorado and our processes. Provides feedback to Marketing per the designated process.

  • Contributes to continuous process improvement by generating and sharing opportunities for improvement at regular Sales and Client Services Meetings and adapts readily to change.

  • Proficiently utilizes DDCO systems and client relationship management tools.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Aligns individual efforts with all Sales and Client Services related guidelines, metrics and accountability matrices in order to facilitate review.

  • Understands and intentionally applies DDCO's documented values consistently in formulating and implementing various strategies for individuals and groups.

Working Conditions:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
