We are currently seeking a collaborative, goals-driven, detail-oriented Account Service Clerk to join our CRC Operations Team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing operational support to the repossession and liquidation function, create repossession packets, and ensuring proper in-house documentation is properly completed to minimize losses to the bank.

The successful candidate will be hired for the level of the position that aligns with their experience.

Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (Hours may vary)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1 year of experience in an office/banking setting required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related study preferred.

  • Vehicle repossession or liquidation experience desired.

  • Good time management skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to handle confidential matters judiciously.

  • Must be detail oriented with excellent organization skills to perform multiple tasks simultaneously within strict timeframes.

  • Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute accurately.

  • Computer skills on MS Word and Excel.

VIEW JOBS 9/27/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-12-26T00:00 <p>Position Specific Description</p><p>Recruitment Number 22-171JCK, Account Clerk III, SR-11*, Hilo, Island of Hawai`i.</p><ul><li>Salary rate effective 10/01/2022.</li></ul><p>Summary of Duties</p><p>Maintains control accounts for appropriated and/or non-appropriated funds involving a relatively limited number of accounts and range of kinds of disbursements; may maintain one or more major accounting groupings for a major department; may supervise and participate in the maintenance of subsidiary ledgers; and performs other duties as required.</p><p>Minimum Qualification Requirements</p><p>General Experience: One-half (1/2) year of work experience which demonstrated knowledge of arithmetic and spelling and possession of the abilities to follow oral and written directions, to write simply and directly and to observe differences in words and numbers quickly and accurately.</p><p>Specialized Experience: Two (2) years of work experience which involved posting to accounting records and other systematizing of fiscal information; i.e., computing, classifying and recording numerical data to keep sets of financial accounting records complete and to derive reports therefrom. Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of standard accounting classification and terminology pertinent to accounts maintenance operations and office practices and procedures relating to the processing and recording of transactions and accounting information.</p><p>This work must have involved reconciling accounts (i.e., checking for errors, balancing, and going back to original source document for verification).</p><p>Non-Qualifying Experience: Experience as a teller, cashier, inventory clerk, stock clerk, supply clerk, or other related work which is primarily concerned with posting non-fiscal data or checking accuracy of computations and which does not involve or require any fiscal record keeping knowledge is not considered qualifying specialized experience.</p><p>Supervisory Aptitude: Some Account Clerk III positions require that applicants possess supervisory aptitude. Supervisory Aptitude is the demonstration of aptitude or potential for the performance of supervisory duties through successful completion of regular or special assignments which involve some supervisory responsibilities or aspects; by serving as a group or team leader, or in similar work in which opportunities for demonstrating supervisory capabilities exist; by completion of training courses in supervision accompanied by application of supervisory skills in work assignments or by favorable appraisals by a supervisor indicating the possession of supervisory potential.</p><p>Substitutions Allowed:</p><p>Substitution of Education for Experience:</p><p>1.Graduation from high school or equivalent with courses in basic English and arithmetic may be substituted for six (6) months of General Experience.</p><p>2.An associate's degree or equivalent in accounting from an accredited business school, community college, or other comparable institution may be substituted for specialized experience on the basis of one (1) year of such training for one (1) school year of experience, up to a maximum of two (2) years.</p><p>3.Completion of one (1) school year of an accounting, business or related curriculum at an accredited business school, community college, or other comparable institution may be substituted for one (1) year of specialized experience provided the training included at least three (3) credits per semester of accounting courses.</p><p>4.Education in an accredited university in a baccalaureate program may be substituted for Specialized Experience on the following basis:</p><p>(a) A baccalaureate degree in accounting will be deemed to have met all of the experience requirements.</p><p>(b) Fifteen (15) semester hours of training may be substituted for six (6) months of experience, up to a maximum of three and one-half (3-1/2) years provided the training included at least three (3) credits per semester of accounting courses such as: accounting, theory and methods used to record and report financial information; analysis of methods for valuing the assets, liabilities, and ownership; etc.</p><p>Supplemental Information</p><p>Any additional information may be attached to your online application, submitted by email to Recruitment@courts.hawaii.gov, or mailed to the following address: Hawai<code>i State Judiciary, Human Resources Department, 426 Queen Street, First Floor, Honolulu, Hawai</code>i 96813.</p><p>Education: If you are using education as a substitute for experience, you must submit a copy of your official transcripts at the time of application.
