The Life Sciences VHP Sales Specialists focuses on promoting and selling VHP based solutions in their assigned region working with the local sales/service teams, VHP Application team, and Area Vice President. This postion manages the assigned territory to achieve company order, revenue and margin objectives by selling STERIS VHP equipment, consumables and services into pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, research and laboratory, medical device, food and beverage and to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) that integrate VHP solutions. They build and maintain positive Customer relationships through written and verbal correspondence and direct personal contact and manage time and travel priorities while providing market feedback and territory based financial forecasts on a monthly basis. The role also performs targeted market development and promotion in their assigned region and develops realtionships needed to successfully implement STERIS VHP equipment, cosumables, and services .
Coordinates with local sales, service team to identify Customer targets
Prospects accounts for VHP solutions
Prepares sales presentation, proposals, quotations for VHP.
Supports strategic initiatives related to VHP sales goals as assigned and approved by the management team.
Achieve assigned financial metrics via sales of STERIS VHP equipment, consumable and service products while managing time, travel and investments in territory.
Interacts daily and effectively with Customers by phone, email and in person to handle commercial requests, technical inquiries and product related complaints.
Work closely with STERIS Customer Operations, Applications Management and Field Service teams to ensure equipment, consumables and services are quoted, delivered, installed and demonstrated correctly and on schedule with no erosion of margin.
Maintain an accurate monthly sales forecast accompanied by feedback to sales management to support projections.
Coordinates and leads Customer seminars and events in assigned region.
Conducts classes and training seminars, educating the professional community and Customers by serving in a consultative and supportive role for VHP products. These can be live or web based sessions.
Grows the STERIS business through Customer networking, trade shows and professional Organizations and periodically organizes and/or attend relevant trade shows and professional organization seminars (i.e. PDA, ISPE, AP3, etc.).
Provides feedback to strategic and product marketing on new product launches based on Customer input.
Communicates Customer concerns, industry trends and competitive activity across STERIS business units and functions and keeps current on competitive offerings and searches for creative ways to promote STERIS strengths.
Assists marketing team with VOC activities for market and product development.

Identifies regional partners for turnkey scenarios with VHP for approval by management team.
Develops pricing and scope with approved partners.
Evaluates partner performance on assigned jobs.
Adopts and provides input to new continuous improvement methods.
Maintains required technical and proffessional proficiency through the attendance at scheduled training sessions throughout STERIS's global network of facilities and STERIS University online programs.
Works with Sales team to keep project report and forecast accurate and up to date.
Provides monthly reports on projects, product, and industry trends.
Other reports as required by STERIS (expense, car mileage, safety, etc.)
Handles other duties and responsibilities as they are periodically assigned in compliance with the spirit and letter of laws, government regulations and company policies while demonstrating the highest standards of professional conduct.
5 years proven business to business sales experience with technical product. prior Life Science Product and Services related sales experience preferred
Bachelor's degree Bachelor's Degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.MBA Certification a plus but not required
Strong communication and presentation skills with Customers
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.)
