We are currently seeking a hands-on Premium Accounting Representative in New York City to join our trade credit and political risk accounting department.
Performs bookkeeping / clerical transactional activities, with appropriate segregation of
Identify cash and reports received from different sources and processes & posts the transactions into the Accounts Receivable and Premium Cash systems.
Troubleshoots and determines cause of discrepancies and initiates corrective action.
Preparation of account reconciliations including correspondence/adjustments and follow-up until
Timely response to account inquiries
Scan all reports, premium and related documents for internal & external viewing
Utilize system reporting for daily and monthly management reporting
Perform other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or equivalent. College level coursework in Accounting preferred.
1 to 3 years related experience. Requires working knowledge of accounting practices & procedures.
Basic knowledge of word and excel required
