SUMMARY

The Account Receivable Analyst, Senior, as a member of the Finance department at Rochester Regional Health will provide senior level expertise including financial support and analysis related to Patient Accounts Receivable, Contractual Reserves and Allowance for Doubtful Accounts. The Account Receivable Analyst, Senior will lead team level project and processes and provide guidance, assistance and training for other team members.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Riedman Campus

DEPARTMENT: Finance

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday

Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline preferred

  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience preferred (can include experience collecting and analyzing data in healthcare setting). Equivalent combination of education and experienced will be considered

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain thorough understanding of key inputs impacting Accounts receivable including billing processes, work streams, healthcare reimbursement and regulations that may impact the business and financial statement reporting

  • On a monthly basis, utilize Revenue Cycle Analytic tool for AR reserve modeling including analysis and reporting for monthly close process

  • Partner with leadership including Patient Financial Services and others as appropriate to monitor AR changes and provide meaningful business insight to fluctuations including plans for remediation

  • Coordinate and oversee interim and year end audit reporting related to net patient accounts receivable

  • Provides guidance, assistance, and training for other team members

  • Expected to coordinate and oversee specific departmental deliverables

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills; using systematic methods to perform work and creativity to recommend or create new work methods or procedures

  • Demonstrate analytical, proactive problem solving skills; techniques to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully

  • Inquisitiveness, along with the ability to think logically and systematically to analyze and evaluate alternate solutions, is expected

Main point of contact for the Company's Fleet Maintenance customers by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: * Responsible for customer interface and collections activity for a group of Fleet Maintenance house charge accounts * Provide customer service regarding collection issues * Process and review accounts for adjustments * Resolve customer discrepancies and short payments * Prepare customer account reconciliations * Obtain and mail, e-mail or fax invoice copies for customers, as requested * Research and process customer claims of invoice payment * Answer accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up * Call and/or mail correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update accounts * Authorize charges on commercial accounts requiring authorizations and special instructions * Facilitate discussions between the field and customers related to quality of work performed issues * Assist with the transition of new customers during acquisitions * Assist with related special projects, as required * Other duties may be assigned * High school and two years + related experience and/or training * Prior accounts receivable experience or customer service experience preferred * Proficient in Excel * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence * Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization * Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume * Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry Full time position 9:30-6:00 40/Hr work week with potential overtime required All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
