If you're looking for a temporary Accounts Payable Specialist job, we're looking for you. At Stratasys, you're at the epicenter of the most advanced 3D printing solutions. This individual will process invoices for payment in a manner which ensures timely input, accurate general ledger distribution and compliance with established expenditure procedures.

  • 20-30 hours per week. Weekly hours and days are flexible.

  • Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions for vendor groups assigned and ensure that all invoices are paid accurately and in accordance with the accounting department's policies and procedures.

  • Process vendor invoices utilizing three-way or two-way match and ensure appropriate approvals.

  • Monitors invoice processing discrepancies and facilitate solving reoccurring issues.

  • Develops and maintains productive working relationships with personnel in other departments to ensure the proper coordination of invoice processing and vendor payments.

  • Communicate status of account payable items with Purchasing staff and vendors via phone, email, and voicemail.

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end close cycles.


  • 2-year Degree in Accounting or above

  • At least 2 years of related accounts payable experience.

  • Solid understanding of accounts payable procedures.

  • ERP experience required.

  • Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts and draws valid conclusions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.


  • Previous Oracle experience is preferred,
  • Manufacturing company experience.

The Accounts Payable Specialist performs general accounts payable duties to include recording and setting up for the payment of all invoices, in accordance with company and established accounting policies and procedures. This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week; afternoons preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES: Accounts Payable (60%) * Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment * Process check requests * 1099 maintenance * Respond to all vendor inquiries * Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies * Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices * Report sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices Close Items & Audit (40%) * Work with management to get Auditors the requested information * Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balance * Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred * 2 years required experience * Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers * Strong written and verbal communication * Ability to read and interpret complex documents * Ability to write routine reports and correspondence * Able to apply concepts of basic algebra Surmodics offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including a bonus program, 401(k) with employer match, employee stock purchase plan and stock options.
