The Account Manager is responsible for managing the sales process and driving profitable sales growth within an assigned sales territory to both existing and new Airgas customers.

Our Account Managers sell industrial, medical, and specialty gases and equipment, welding products and equipment, tools and hardware and safety products.

They also manage communication with District, Branch, Sales, and Plant Managers regularly and when necessary to facilitate 100% customer service and satisfaction.

Pay range: $50,000 - $70,000 base pay annually (plus commission) DOE

Incentive pay: This position is eligible for incentive compensation in the following program: monthly commission

The ideal candidate will have:

An experienced candidate will have at least 2 years of outside B2B sales experience.

Also willing to train the right candidate who has at least 2 years of Inside Sales experience in a similar industry

Computer proficiency

Must have reliable transportation to travel to customer sites.

Must have a valid driver's license

No at-fault driving accident within the last 3 years

Preferred

3 years' experience in the welding or safety industry

5 years' experience in sales with proven success

The Work * Attainment and upkeep of customers' accounts including maintaining updated customer information in the store computer system and documenting all customer payment appointments * Assist General Manager with operational functions which include account recommendations, payment frequency and payment history to monitor accuracy * Second up to the General Manager * Build authentic customer relationships to support customers in their ownership goals and drive sales * Manage the collections process by counseling customers to gain timely lease/merchandise renewals * Review and close lease agreements, which includes confirming customer identification, collecting money and obtain customer signatures on lease agreements * Contact customers who have not renewed merchandise agreements * Maintain customers contact over the phone and through home visits * Update customers information and maintain accuracy * Manage entire accounts staff to achieve daily, weekly and monthly accounts department goals * Clean and certify merchandise in the cleaning station for all merchandise personally returned * Complete and maintain weekly vehicle maintenance sheet and route sheets daily * Load, secure and protect product in company vehicle * Safely operate company vehicle * Assist the Sales Team as needed * Any other reasonable duties requested by management Requirements * United States at least 21 years old with a valid state Driver's License and compliance with the Company's Driver Qualification Policy; including satisfactory MVR (driving record).
