The New York City-based Wood Mackenzie team is seeking a new addition to the Account Management group. Our team sells Research & Consulting services that inform the decision-making process for the largest hedge funds, banks, and broader industry clients in the Northeast. About the Role

The Account Management team is a key driver for sales execution and performance across existing and new accounts. You will be instrumental for the achievement of sales targets as well as the effective use of resources to achieve such targets. Your client portfolio will include a diverse set of customers in key Wood Mackenzie markets. This is your opportunity to truly partner with the firm's clients.

The successful applicant needs to be highly results-driven, demonstrate excellent account management skills, rigorous application of process and procedure, as well as strong commercial acumen in the development of their sales portfolio. He/she must also demonstrate strong orientation towards understanding client needs, communicating value, as well as a high level of teaming skills in working with groups such as Consulting, Research & Client Solutions.

This is a truly exciting time join Wood Mackenzie with the creation of our new analytics platform Lens, the addition of Genscape, and the formation of our new Energy Transition Practice. The new platform and data capabilities enable clients to access, analyze and model data in every major commodity along the natural resources value chain through integrated workflow solutions.

About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role

Delivering the Sales and Marketing Strategy

  • Develops a comprehensive portfolio plan considering macro & micro economic factors that could impact the customer buying cycle

Growth and New Client Development

  • Pro-actively manages and maximizes the commercial growth of the portfolio to aligned with regional priorities

  • Successfully identifying customers amongst the portfolio that present the best opportunity for growth through cross and up selling

Brand Focus

  • Represents Wood Mackenzie at conferences and professional organizations to expand brand recognition and promote business development activities

Client Engagement

  • Effective client engagement and understanding of critical client business growth potential and how the Wood Mackenzie suite of products supports the client's growth

  • Supplying continuous feedback to the business of how to improve our service to customers inside of assigned portfolio as well as gathering relevant competitive intelligence

  • Support new product and service development launches

Relationship Management

  • To be the voice of the customer to internal stakeholders and the voice of Wood Mackenzie to the customer

  • Effective teaming with the broader organization to include marketing, training, client services, research and consulting

About You and How You Can Excel in This Role

You will:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a client facing or Account Manager role

  • Have a proven commercial track record in developing clients and establishing a trusted advisor relationship

  • Demonstrate experience in building client relationships along with excellent communication skills.

  • Have used CRM systems such as Salesforce

  • Be an energetic, driven individual, a successful negotiator and demonstrate results-oriented mind-set.

  • Demonstrate outstanding judgment in resource utilisation and optimisation

  • Be passionate about growing the business and have a genuine interest in developing and growing themselves

  • Have an intellectual curiosity about how data and analysis, solves critical business issues

  • Show strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage own workload effectively

  • Effectively manage the business pipeline to ensure accurate salesforce forecasting

The role This role is responsible for signing, onboarding, managing, and growing the sales performance of our North American boutique partnerships. You will build strong relationships with boutiques at all levels within your designated territory, working with the wider commercial team and other Farfetch team members ensuring boutiques are actively engaged to drive business results. What you'll do * You will manage a group of boutiques through sound business management and strategic planning, turning knowledge into focused action. * You will proactively seek, maintain and update knowledge on each boutique's status, seasonal & future plans to assess full online potential and further growth opportunities. * You will manage offline/online sales against product deliveries and commercial performance expectations, working closely with merchandising and the wider commercial team. * You will negotiate and plan markdowns with boutiques and ensure adherence to promotional activities. * You will review monthly boutique performance and Farfetch profitability. * You will conduct regular business reviews internally as well as externally with boutique partners. * You will work with Head of department to sign and on-board new boutiques * You will ensure boutique is online with right stock quality/quantity in a short time frame * You will handle the administration of contract renewals for partners within assigned territory. * You will assist in research of territories and product categories * You will ensure excellent service & follow up is given to both partners and final customers, working closely with Partner Services team, Production, Finance, and Operations to drive all service KPI's and ensure business needs are met. Who you are * You have experience with a minimum of 4-5 years of Client/Customer relations, Commercial experience (online or offline) ideally from a retail, brand or wholesale fashion environment - fashion and luxury a plus. * You have excellent relationship building skills with the different players of the business. * You have outstanding sales skills and negotiation techniques and have strong analytical ability. * You are well organized and proactive, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at a fast pace. * You have an excellent sense of prioritization and timing. * You are at ease with Excel (pivots) and the use of data tools to obtain and/or assess analytical information. * You have a BS or BA degree, or equivalent experience. * You are able to travel 15-20% of the time, both local and domestic. * You have articulate communication skills, both verbally and written.
