Highly visible key Account Manager: Tesla role in the San Francisco Bay Area to support the connected vehicle marketplace for one of the top three interconnect solutions providers in the world!

Molex is seeking a dynamic and proactive Account Manager to support our emerging Autonomous Vehicle, and Electrical Vehicle space primarily focused on Tesla. This Account Manager will be influential on developing, defining, and executing our strategy to achieve profitable growth objectives in the Electrical Vehicle market. This role will require heavy customer facing time, and relationship building at all levels within the customer organization. This role will require Front end Molex electronic solution representation. This role will be closely tied to our Business Unit, Global Sales and Marketing, and cross-functional teams all focused on exceeding customer expectations, and value creation for the organization.

Essential Functions:

  • Identify and grow successful working relationships within all key areas of the customer organization to establish Molex as a technical leader and supplier of choice.

  • Identify and engage key architects and designers working on connected vehicle SW and HW applications.

  • Identify, monitor, and communicate key trends across the EV market and industry including working knowledge of the competitive landscape. Gather necessary industry data analytics on various market segments to support strategic business direction.

  • Maximize profitable revenue growth and pipeline of programs in area of responsibility.

  • Support global GSM resources supporting the EV market segment. Leverage company resources to assist in solution development, proposal delivery, implementation, and closure of new business pipeline to meet target objectives.

  • Ability to screen potential business deals by analyzing customer and market strategies, deal requirements, opportunity potential, financial metrics to advance/close new business opts.

  • Effectively coordinate and drive VOC back to the business units to advance opts.

  • Responsible for tracking financial and pipeline results throughout the fiscal year as required by management through monthly/quarterly reporting and business updates.

  • Understand, adopt and support MBM philosophy and culture, and Guiding Principles.

Position Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a technical discipline
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience in the high-speed interconnect and cable industry in the Bay Area market.
  • 3+ years' experience in a customer facing role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in business or a technical discipline

  • Background in automotive or networking account base

  • Established relationships with existing accounts.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Solid understanding to the EV market and automotive ecosystem in Northern CA to include OEM's, tiers, software and ASIC developers

  • Deep knowledge of ADAS, Automotive Infotainment, Cloud connectivity in the connected vehicle.

  • Understand advanced automotive connectivity terms (V-X, Wifi, SOTA, FOTA, Bluetooth, NFC etc.).

  • Ability to understand customer technical needs and effectively sell solutions to both the customer and present these opts to our supporting Molex Business Units for buy in.

  • Ability to understand our security software and firmware capabilities to support our advanced network solutions.

  • Ability to understand ongoing disruptive technologies including TAAS (transportation as a service) and DAAS (delivery as a service) and how our products can support.

  • Ability to effectively build strategic customer relationships across a broad span of roles to maximize Molex's ability to win new business opts.

  • A sound understanding of the Electric Vehicle Industry.

  • Ability to influence others both within Molex and at the customer base.

  • Projects a professional and credible image, well respected in the marketplace.

  • A strong aptitude for understanding electronic vehicle systems and the value Molex products bring to the customer.

About the role: The Channel Account Manager will play a critical role in ensuring operational and financial success for Seagate. You will be a part of commercial & consumer channel distribution team focused on results. You will: * Act as the focal point in communication and execution of sales order fulfillment to meet Seagate's overall financial goals * Analyze forecast demand, inventory, and customer sell through to develop and manage weekly and quarterly demand / supply plans * Focus your results on supporting Seagate revenue goals while minimizing inventory liability * Evaluate risks and implement contingency plans to mitigate risk * Analyze customer demand, purchase orders, and backlog on a daily/weekly basis * Identify problem areas and drive appropriate customer engagement and internal functional groups to correct. An understanding of trend analysis and future demand projections is helpful to success * Coordinate closely with cross functional teams to ensure supply plans support direct & indirect customer needs and channel weekly sales out while maintaining appropriate channel inventory levels * Coordinate with Sales and Product Line Management teams to set launch quantities and ensure smooth product transitions * Engage with Sales Operations analyst to understand and explain demand variations and dynamics and to support complete order fulfillment * Partner with logistics teams to determine and execute optimal supply chain for all product shipments, incorporating both cost and customer service metrics.
