SUMMARY:
The Account Manager will manage profitable growth across all products and services and optimize all sales channels. In addition the AM will expand market presence in their assigned territory by identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work independently and within our matrix organization to establish selling strategies and tactics that result in new account business generation
Schedule and complete weekly prospecting activities to include field canvassing
Build & maintain ongoing rapport with key individuals at customer locations
Manage sales materials, presentations, contracts & pricing
Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets on a consistent basis
Track & enter daily sales activities, leads, pipeline into online sales tracking system
Accountable to accurately forecast new business both monthly and quarterly
Maintain an extensive knowledge of markets, products, industry, competition, key buying influences, and partners.
Make meaningful solution recommendations based on identified needs, and present proposal in a persuasive manner.
Negotiate effectively with customers and prospects using principles that expand offerings and add unique value that motivates buyers to do business with Tennant.
Independently manage tough business situations. This includes anticipating obstacles and competitive threats and modifying or adjusting solutions in such a way as to be in a preferred position
Perform equipment demonstrations and be able to trailer equipment as necessary

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree; and three plus years outside sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years continuous outside sales experience, and history of progressive sales results.
Prior experience in the commercial or industrial cleaning industry preferred.
Exceptional business related skills including the ability to develop business strategies.
Demonstrated experience with high level contacts and interaction with people at all levels within an organization.
Effective negotiation, organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
Proven ability to prospect, propose, negotiate and close a sale.
Proficiency with MS Office applications with familiarity using sales and customer tracking software (CRM.)
Must be able to meet DOT requirements and reporting procedures. Must pull trailers as per DOT regulations and safety.
Must meet physical requirements of the position including ability to hook up trailers and load demonstration gear.

A brighter future is in your hands. We're currently seeking an Account Manager (AM). The Account Manager (AM) serves as the primary contact for BrightView's clients. They build and sustain long-term relationships, focusing on both client retention and ancillary sales, while providing oversight for field operations. The Account Manager supervises the Production Specialist, who directly manages the field operations. What you'll do: * Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers, focusing on both the main contact as well as the next level above and below. * Develop and maintain a schedule to perform "site walkthroughs" during formal meetings with customers to ensure quality and service expectations are met. * Lead and facilitate or assist in the resolution of customer problems or concerns. * Proactively present site enhancement ideas to existing customers. * Ensure renewals of each current account within the customer portfolio. * Identify and pursue opportunities to sell ancillary services. * Ensure a safe environment for employees, customers and the general public. * Generate referrals from existing client base and communicate to Business Developer. * Develop accurate estimates and takeoffs for both new and existing clients as needed. * Supervise the Production Specialist in conduct of field operations. * Communicate regularly with the Production Specialist to ensure client needs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded. * Manage service delivery to specified scope of work. * Ensure branch financial goals met by maintaining acceptable gross margins for both base contract work and ancillary services. * Coordinate consistent and timely site visits with Production Specialist. * Participate in branch meetings and assist Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager in overall leadership of branch. * Maintain satisfactory Accounts Receivable levels. * Coordinate with Branch Administrator to ensure branch databases consistently updated with current client information. * Other tasks and duties as assigned by Branch Manager. Skills we're seeking: * 1 year of supervisory experience in the landscape or service industry. * 5 years of prior customer service, management, and leadership experience within an organization, the landscaping industry or local marketplace. * Ability to coach and develop teams. * Must be able to travel. * 2 or 4 year degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience in a service industry.
