Overview

Develop and execute a marketing and sales strategy for Stolthaven Houston's tank storage capacity and additional services. Establish collaborative working relations with Stolt-Nielsen's sea-tanker, tank container and rail businesses and help promote these to drive revenue overall. Support a global program of commercial excellence in collaboration with Stolthaven's head office in Rotterdam.

Responsibilities

  • Is the first point of contact for managing the business relationship for a portfolio of customers, including but not limited to: reviewing new product inquiries for new and existing customers, maintaining and updating the CRF (Customer Requirement Form) for existing customers, ensures billing is being correctly captured in the contract pricing, resolving customer disputes, responsible for being the internal communication bridge between the various departments to ensure the customer's needs are being met, preparing presentations for external meetings

  • Assists the Senior Sales & Marketing Manager in developing and implementing marketing plans for Stolthaven Houston which is complimentary to and in support of the business unit's strategies and objectives. Ensuring the global Customer Centric initiative is being actively implemented.

  • Ensures Stolthaven Houston's customer contracts are timely and accurately updated and with appropriate approvals in-line with the Authority Matrix, including but not limited to: all escalations are conducted timely and correctly, contracts accurately represent the services we are providing, the most recent contract template is in-place, contract amendments are created timely as and when necessary.

  • Oversee Stolthaven Houston's sales activities, including annual revenue budgets, financial calculations, reporting of the inquiry / proposals, contract fixtures, contract KPI's and account/receivables.

  • Work in close conjunction with the Marketing Manager Stolthaven Houston to optimize account management and maximize customer satisfaction for both terminals. Measure customer satisfaction and make recommendations to the General Manager for service improvements.

  • Maintain liaison with other Stolthaven and Stolt-Nielsen businesses and customer contacts as it relates to sales of integrated logistics, Tanker chartering, Owner's Berth, Rail Services and Tank containers and co-ordination between the various business streams.

Qualifications

  • Education

  • College degree in business, marketing, finance or engineering with an MBA is preferred but not required.

  • Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales/marketing efforts for terminals or related chemical industry with proven skills in management, sales, contract negotiations and understanding of the chemical distribution market.

  • Specific Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical skills.

  • Must be able to travel as required for customer and management meetings.

A brighter future is in your hands. We're currently seeking an Account Manager (AM) in the Houston, TX Market. The Account Manager serves as the primary contact for BrightView's clients. They build and sustain long-term relationships, focusing on both client retention and ancillary sales, while providing oversight for field operations. The Account Manager supervises the Production Specialist, who directly manages the field operations. What you'll do: * Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers, focusing on both the main contact as well as the next level above and below. * Develop and maintain a schedule to perform "site walkthroughs" during formal meetings with customers to ensure quality and service expectations are met. * Lead and facilitate or assist in the resolution of customer problems or concerns. * Proactively present site enhancement ideas to existing customers. * Ensure renewals of each current account within the customer portfolio. * Identify and pursue opportunities to sell ancillary services. * Ensure a safe environment for employees, customers and the general public. * Generate referrals from existing client base and communicate to Business Developer. * Develop accurate estimates and takeoffs for both new and existing clients as needed. * Supervise the Production Specialist in conduct of field operations. * Communicate regularly with the Production Specialist to ensure client needs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded. * Manage service delivery to specified scope of work. * Ensure branch financial goals met by maintaining acceptable gross margins for both base contract work and ancillary services. * Coordinate consistent and timely site visits with Production Specialist. * Participate in branch meetings and assist Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager in overall leadership of branch. * Maintain satisfactory Accounts Receivable levels. * Coordinate with Branch Administrator to ensure branch databases consistently updated with current client information. * Other tasks and duties as assigned by Branch Manager. Skills we're seeking: * 1 year of supervisory experience in the landscape or service industry. * 5 years of prior customer service, management, and leadership experience within an organization, the landscaping industry or local marketplace. * Ability to coach and develop teams. * Must be able to travel. * 2 or 4 year degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience in a service industry.
