The Account Manager State Markets will be responsible for oversight and management of LIBERTY's key state market accounts and will ensure our organization remains compliant with state regulatory requirements. This role will drive communication and build long-term relationships to achieve client retention and satisfaction that produces positive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, such as DMHC and DHCS.

  • Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.

  • Ensure all account activities comply with Medicaid/Medi-Cal regulations and standards.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans to achieve targets.

  • Assist in identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities in support of retention and business expansion.

  • Oversee more complex client relationships and resolve escalated issues.

  • Develop an understanding of each client's business, market and priorities.

  • Align internal activities with the client's business strategies and goals.

  • Resolve day-to-day account service issues directly or by coordinating with the internal stakeholders to a solution - quickly, efficiently, timely, and accurately.

  • Monitor accounts to identify potential risks and work with functional areas to avoid and/or resolve issues.

  • Assist in ensuring LIBERTY's compliance program meets regulatory requirements and contractual standards for assigned accounts.

  • Lead the preparation and submission of compliance reports and participate in audits.

  • Interprets and analyzes state and federal regulatory guidance.

  • Oversees the development of client reports and coordinates report delivery with appropriate staff.

  • Stay abreast of changes to state policies, regulations, and procedures, and ensure organizational compliance.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of client accounts to verify adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Provide guidance and support to business leaders regarding compliance obligations and best practices.

What You'll Need...

  • Demonstrated experience as an Account Manager.

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in Account Management, Client Services or related, including at minimum 2 years in dental or health insurance.

  • Minimum 4 Year bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Public Heatlh or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience required.

  • Prior experience working with regulatory compliance.

  • Thorough understanding of Medicaid programs, policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and effectively convey complex information to clients and internal stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify compliance gaps.

  • Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Extremely organized and motivated.

  • Results driven - Strong problem solving, critical thinking, research and analytical skills.

  • Solid ability to exercise initiative and judgment as well as make decisions within the scope of authority.

  • Dental industry knowledge a plus.

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products.

COMPENSATION

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary for this position is $76,389 - $99,305, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at LIBERTY, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any, final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
