We're searching for a sales superstar to help grow our business in the market. The Account Manager is responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with contractors and subcontractors in primarily an outside sales capacity, coupled with some inside sales activity. This position will identify potential customer leads, cold call, gain appointments and execute a sales funnel process through close. If you are tenacious with a keen mind for strategy and the gift of persuasion - we're looking for you.

Where you can shine:

  • Prospecting / generating leads

  • Meet or exceed revenue, gross margin % and gross margin dollar targets

  • Develop proposals (pricing per pricing guidelines-escalate with exceptions)

  • Manage sales process and pipeline utilizing Salesforce

  • Cross-functional collaboration with recruiters, safety, service and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Collaborate with the general labor-and other TrueBlue brands-to share leads and promote customer growth

  • Ensure all safety processes and procedures are observed

  • Build exceptional relationships with customers by spending at least 75% of your time customer-facing

  • Obtain detailed and accurate job description per SOP

  • Manage participation in industry and strategic community organizations

  • Manage aging within terms

What you bring to the table:

  • Demonstrates proficient business acumen to include financial performance, and success in developing and maintaining customer relationships

  • Proven leadership competencies and experience

  • Strong knowledge of construction industry

  • Ability to execute, prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure

  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, and ability to persuade

  • Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make decisions

  • HS Diploma/GED or equivalent required

  • 2+ years direct/outside sales experience in construction and/or staffing

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation skills and ability to persuade an audience

  • Experience building sales territories as opposed to inheriting established markets

  • Communication, presentation, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills

  • Self-motivation and goal oriented; demonstrates a relentless tenacity with specific sales strategies identified

  • Ability to effectively work independently without day-to-day direction

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently and meet deadlines under pressure

  • Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse employee population as well as clients

  • Bilingual language skills a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Remote office work environment; frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear for long periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Customers will exist in government, commercial, industrial, and educational enterprises that require traffic control, traffic safety, traffic direction and related equipment and services.</p><p>?</p><p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p><ul><li><p>Conduct phone calls, emails, and personal site visits to customers and prospects to promote, sell, and rent products and services in given strategic territory.</p></li><li><p>Assemble a presentation using predeveloped marketing materials and deliver to small groups on a frequent basis.</p></li><li><p>Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss sales and credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.</p></li><li><p>Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate all service requirements with the Operations team to insure proper customer service.</p></li><li><p>Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue by cold-calling when necessary and appropriate.</p></li><li><p>Follow-up with customers on open quotes and action items from meetings.</p></li><li><p>Actively manage call schedule to adequately cover assigned territory in a time-efficient manner.</p></li><li><p>Use applicable sales management software tools (CRM) to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate records, including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, billing invoices, and other documentation to be included in CRM Tool</p></li><li><p>Have a comprehensive knowledge of new and used equipment sales in the areas of Pavement Marking Traffic Safety Devices, and Traffic Control.</p></li><li><p>Consult with customers on the valuation and sales estimates of equipment.</p></li><li><p>Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts to management and vendors.</p></li><li><p>Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails</p></li><li><p>Understand customer needs and requirements</p></li><li><p>Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure</p></li><li><p>Close sales and achieve quarterly quotas</p></li><li><p>Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest</p></li><li><p>Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory</p></li><li><p>Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals</p></li></ul> Roadsafe Traffic Systems Columbus OH
