This position as Strategic Account Manager will be domiciled at our Dallas office with the following key points:

  • Provide exceptional client service to build and maintain good business relationship with both client and carriers.

  • Handle all incoming communications with clients and other business partners in a timely and professional manner. Resolve any operational issues and customer complaints as they arise and implement measure to prevent their frequency and recurrence.

  • Maintain daily communication with customers to comprehend needs and recognize business opportunities.

  • Ensure on time pick-up and delivery of all customer freight.

  • Negotiate pricing with clients on a spot and/or contractual basis.

  • Identify budding concerns and utilize critical thinking to determine the best course of action.

  • Responsible for working with Operations Manager and Business Development team to onboard and integrate new/existing business.

  • Maintain a genuine understanding of the truckload market and spot pricing.

  • Grow and develop new and existing business.

  • Understand and leverage appropriate software and industry tools to improve margin yield.

  • Meet or surpass outlined margin and revenue goals.

  • Takes initiative and perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Qualifications Required:

  • Minimum two years of account management experience in a 3PL/brokerage setting.

  • Ability to execute strategic and tactical action plans.

  • Effective in high stress and fast paced environments (ability to handle all levels of responsibility).

  • Highly skilled in the areas of:

  • Client Relations, Customer Service, Analyzing Issues and Resolving Discrepancies, Time Management, Negotiations and Sales Process Improvement.
