As an Account Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to drive the growth and future shape of Rosetta Stone's language learning platform within the Corporate, Government and Non-profit markets.

This role will be responsible for managing an assigned territory and meeting new and renewal revenue goals by drafting plans for account development, discovering and working to close new opportunities while also developing and managing customer relationships to preserve and grow existing business.


  • Manage a territory to achieve new and renew sales goals

  • Collect and report market information and trends to management

  • Deliver product and corporate presentations to groups and individuals

  • Develop and uncover client needs and propose solutions

  • Deliver relationship-based account penetration/preservation activities to an assigned client base

  • Proactively nurture, expand and develop new business opportunities that will expand client portfolios

  • Perform multiple tasks at a high level with some training and supervision

  • Understand and be able to communicate how Rosetta Stone products and technological architecture deliver on customer requirements to produce compelling value propositions

  • Accurately maintain and use Salesforce to manage sales activities and all data specific to your territory

  • Enter orders into billing and implementation systems with accuracy

Activity Levels:

  • Minimum of 12-16 sales calls per week, and onsite meetings as required

  • Good telephone skills with up to 15 phone calls per day

  • Effective phone use to develop and qualify leads, schedule appointments, and close sales

  • Represent Rosetta Stone at trade shows and tech fairs as needed

  • Perform sales presentations

  • Manage administrative tasks

  • Maintain account records consistent with Rosetta Stone sales department policy

  • Prepare weekly sales forecasts and make recommendations to move accounts to a close

  • Prepare sales call reports, monthly travel schedules, and bi-weekly progress reports

  • Produce proposals to develop and close sales

  • Provide market feedback, competitive information, product development input, etc., to Rosetta Stone management

  • Perform other related duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience

  • 7-10 years direct, consultative sales experience and field territory management background

  • Experience in sales of software products, SaaS, or learning content

  • Strong speaking and presentation skills

  • Proper and effective use of sales tracking, planning and forecasting tools

  • Proven and continued success in selling and closing customers, creating value, and managing a pipeline

  • Ability to produce sales results based on defined needs of both customer and management

  • Ability to develop account relationships and collaborate with management on strategies to achieve new revenue goals

  • Consistent track record of plan attainment in field or inside sales environment

  • Experience doing in-person, on-site selling

  • Proven success in high-volume, deadline driven environment

  • Strong teamwork skills, proven self-motivation and passion for their profession

  • Good communications and time management skills required

  • Proficiency usage of MS Office Suite, Google Suite, and CRM tools

  • Ability to overnight travel 50+%

Wilmar provides multifamily housing properties with maintenance and repair products, janitorial, appliances, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and related supplies. Under the guidance of the Director of Sales, this Corporate Account Manager position focuses primarily, (nearly 100%), on the Multifamily industry by calling on the senior personnel responsible for procurement of maintenance supplies and/or the maintenance of the portfolio of apartment properties. The position focuses on a major metropolitan area and those would be close in proximity within a 4-hour drive. Will develop customer relationships, optimize existing agreements and secure new agreements are all central to this role. High levels of local market interaction will be a key to success. Specifically, 75% of time will be spent in the field visiting with existing customers and prospective customers, riding with the local Wilmar sales professionals visiting properties of key accounts, and maintaining an active presence in the local apartment association. CRM use is a must with our integrated systems. MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * 10%- Collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager to maintain, develop and execute on a joint "market" plan that allows for consistent local market share gains year over year. * 25%- Achieve GPD Budget. Maintain and grow an assigned portfolio of multifamily property management firms with headquarter offices in the assigned region. * 25%- Sign new Supply Agreements. Pursue multifamily management company prospects in the assigned metro; develop relationships; and work toward an eventual "supply agreement." * 20%- Achieve account profitability. Responsible for balancing the gross margin percentage with focus on full penetration of the account. * 15%- Ensure high level of Customer Satisfaction. Monthly account analysis and review; high levels of communication with the customer. Take ownership and resolve any and all customer complaints or open issues raised by the customer. * 5%- Local Apartment Association. Active participation in the industry association; joining 1 influential committee is preferred. NATURE AND SCOPE * Reports to the Director of Sales. Has no direct reports. ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS * Ability to be mobile and the ability to travel in car and plane with easy access. Environment: Home Office Travel: Typically requires travel 50% to 75% of the time.
