As an Account Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to drive the growth and future shape of Rosetta Stone's language learning platform within the Corporate, Government and Non-profit markets.

This role will be responsible for managing an assigned territory and meeting new and renewal revenue goals by drafting plans for account development, discovering and working to close new opportunities while also developing and managing customer relationships to preserve and grow existing business.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Manage a territory to achieve new and renew sales goals

  • Collect and report market information and trends to management

  • Deliver product and corporate presentations to groups and individuals

  • Develop and uncover client needs and propose solutions

  • Deliver relationship-based account penetration/preservation activities to an assigned client base

  • Proactively nurture, expand and develop new business opportunities that will expand client portfolios

  • Perform multiple tasks at a high level with some training and supervision

  • Understand and be able to communicate how Rosetta Stone products and technological architecture deliver on customer requirements to produce compelling value propositions

  • Accurately maintain and use Salesforce to manage sales activities and all data specific to your territory

  • Enter orders into billing and implementation systems with accuracy

Activity Levels:

  • Minimum of 12-16 sales calls per week, and onsite meetings as required

  • Good telephone skills with up to 15 phone calls per day

  • Effective phone use to develop and qualify leads, schedule appointments, and close sales

  • Represent Rosetta Stone at trade shows and tech fairs as needed

  • Perform sales presentations

  • Manage administrative tasks

  • Maintain account records consistent with Rosetta Stone sales department policy

  • Prepare weekly sales forecasts and make recommendations to move accounts to a close

  • Prepare sales call reports, monthly travel schedules, and bi-weekly progress reports

  • Produce proposals to develop and close sales

  • Provide market feedback, competitive information, product development input, etc., to Rosetta Stone management

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience

  • 7-10 years direct, consultative sales experience and field territory management background

  • Experience in sales of software products, SaaS, or learning content

  • Strong speaking and presentation skills

  • Proper and effective use of sales tracking, planning and forecasting tools

  • Proven and continued success in selling and closing customers, creating value, and managing a pipeline

  • Ability to produce sales results based on defined needs of both customer and management

  • Ability to develop account relationships and collaborate with management on strategies to achieve new revenue goals

  • Consistent track record of plan attainment in field or inside sales environment

  • Experience doing in-person, on-site selling

  • Proven success in high-volume, deadline driven environment

  • Strong teamwork skills, proven self-motivation and passion for their profession

  • Good communications and time management skills required

  • Proficiency usage of MS Office Suite, Google Suite, Salesforce.com and CRM tools

  • Ability to overnight travel 50+%
