Relief Account Manager

Position Summary:

Perform backup functions, such as selling, merchandising and servicing Eagle Rock products for Account Managers who are away from their routes temporarily. This is a sales trainee position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Solicit products in a defined route area while operating a company vehicle.

  • Product is counted and ordered in each account into a laptop using the Encompass software package.

  • Manage, rotate and maintain a neat inventory in each account.

  • Must sell sufficient product inventory to eliminate out-of-stock situations

2.Seek and develop positive working relationships with our retail partners.

  • Identify new opportunities to grow our existing portfolio

  • Develop and implement sales promotions to encourage distribution and product growth

  • Establish a close working relationship with all retail partners

3.Responsible for ensuring marketing and sales support materials are displayed in each retail outlet.

  • Secure the best possible selling position for our products (including primary displays, coolers, etc.)
  • Place all brand POS materials including neons, glassware, paper goods, and display enhancers in order to establish a look of the leader.

4.Conduct special promotions within accounts to increase brands sales.

  • Call on account to establish sales promotions thru displays and samplings

5.Maintain strong lines of communication with Driver to execute daily duties and merchandising expectations.

6.Operate company vehicle safely and according to policy.

7.Actively supports the Companys mission and vision philosophy.

  • Attends all required Company meetings.

  • Employee initiates and actively participates in personal growth and development plans.

  • Works with all co-workers to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Maintains security and confidentiality of all Company information.

8.Understands and complies with all Eagle Rock Distributing Company policies and procedures.



  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience

  • Subject to all Company policies regarding all employment testing, including drug screen.

  • Must have a current, valid drivers license and be insurable


  • Strong sales and customer service skills.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of product characteristics

  • Ability to distinguish between brands through taste testing/sampling

  • Ability to speak clearly, read, write, and understand the English language

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

  • Requires the ability to work independently, exercising sound judgement and initiative.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving multiple solutions in standardized situations.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit with frequent bending, walking or standing.

  • Must be able to lift up to 70lbs.

  • Must be able to talk and hear to communicate with both internal and external customers.

Environmental Conditions and Temperaments:

  • Job duties are performed inside and outside an office building with a moderate noise level.

  • Must present and maintain a positive, professional attitude and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and customers while performing the duties.

$42,000 - $45,000 + $5,000 Pay for Performance bonus potential

As a CAM you will perform Control Account duties for all assigned control accounts within the GPS III BUS team. This will include leading, budgeting, and managing the cost/schedule/technical performance for each assigned Control Account (CA) on all GPS III Bus products, mechanical subsystems, CPE labor, and subcontracted hardware with a total dollar span of control of $100M-$300M Summary of Key Duties: In this role you will…. * Effectively manage control account performance, elevate concerns and issues to the GPS Bus IPT Manager and to program management including other impacted control account managers * Work with partnering organizations (Supply Chain, PMP, Quality, etc.) to ensure all processes are appropriately followed and implemented to ensure smooth product flow throughout the lifecycle * Identify risks and opportunities to the program Risk & Opportunity Control Board and implement approved mitigation plans * Conduct closed-loop corrective action to include thorough variance analysis, monitoring of cost/schedule mitigation activities, and corrective action adjustment * Provide timely and accurate insight to key program impacts or opportunities to the GPS Quality Manager, the Segment Manager, and Program Manager * Be "at the ready" for any 2nd level questions related to parts procurement status, headcount challenges, resource constraints, or safety and quality issues * Complete all Value Management assigned duties to include work authorization requests, estimate at complete review, schedule status, variance reporting, and comprehensive estimates at complete Our employees working in this level of position typically have 9+ years of experience.
