EXPERIENCES / Responsible for planning and executing event and experiential marketing programs.

Are you ready to tackle an opportunity to work with industry leaders on global brands? We're searching for an Account Manager to lead the sponsorship & experiential programs for a major payment services client on the Partnership Marketing team. We're envisioning our new team member will collaborate across one of Octagon's largest accounts to curate and execute strategic marketing opportunities and a variety of rare events for clients, staff and consumers. We'll rely on you to advance relationships with our client, and their corresponding partners who represent a range of industries: from high-end retail to mega stores, fuel to travel, grocery to digital retailers.

  • We'll look to you to guide the team through all aspects of event programming; from initial brainstorm through on-site execution and wrap-up

  • Be the day to day client liaison across multiple programs

  • Create tailored experiential event strategic plans

  • Run numerous projects simultaneously, both large-scale custom experiences and smaller-scale events

  • Facilitate the management of materials related to individual events, including but not limited to: digital programs, HTML invitations, ordering of premiums

  • Create, foster and further relationships with internal and external partners as well as outside vendors and properties

  • Develop program budgets and be diligent in all accounting and expense procedures

  • You have a passion and expertise in experiential program management

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 5 years of meaningful work experience

  • You've worked in an event management setting and have had direct ownership over a project

  • You're an excellent project manager who can handle multiple programs simultaneously

  • You can provide solid examples of your success in building strong client relationships

  • Your experience includes budget management and/or reconciliation

  • Your dream is to supervise, lead and mentor more junior employees

  • Your communication skills both written and verbal are superb

  • You describe yourself as having a can-do attitude and a desire to succeed

  • Computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • You're flexible and able to travel domestically (25%) and work weekends or holidays as needed

Also, provides support to the sales team's business plan objectives. Responsible for preparing proposal, presentation and communication materials. Coordinates the distribution of internal and external marketing information. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Gathers supporting documentation to complete voucher forms and process Brokers' commission payments while abiding by company accounting policies as well as local and national laws. Conceptualizes and develops the design of flyers, property brochures, proposals or offering memoranda for the purpose of closing deals. Supports Sales team members in the implementation of business strategies. Interfaces directly with the clients, including taking them on property tours, resolving routine issues and responding to pricing and/or non-routine inquiries. Participates in the formulation and strategy for marketing particular properties and expanding business for a dedicated team. Acts as single point of contact for all data requirements from the sales team, including information related to marketing, research and financial analysis. May source properties and/or clients by researching local and national databases. Tracks and reports on responses and communications from sourcing activities. Creates and produces electronic and/or direct marketing campaigns for sale or lease of properties to include customized property information materials, comparable market analyses, market and industry research and targeted mailing lists. Maintains and updates marketing infrastructure which may include a database system, intranet and external website, including data on all prospects. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) experience preferred. CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES Current real estate license for where work is performed. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis. Ability to abstract a lease. REASONING ABILITY Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
