Parker Hannifin's Total Filtration Services division is seeking an Account Manager to work onsite at a customer location in Kingsport, Tennessee. The Account Manager is responsible for selling and monitoring filtration management programs for Total Filtration Services. This will include utilizing technical expertise to sell deeper into current accounts (organic growth). They are responsible for relationship development at various levels, providing ongoing account management, and serving as a partner to assigned customers. The Account Manager utilizes CRM and other tools as required. Sales across all product lines of filtration are expected.

Specific Duties:

  • Work within all established safety guidelines, ensuring that safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times, and worked deemed unsafe is not performed.

  • Ensure world class customer service is provided to both internal and external customers.

  • Establish rapport and develop solid relationships with key customer contacts and vendors.

  • Meet and exceed sales and margin targets, including monthly forecasts and annual budget.

  • Maintain and grow sales to existing customer base by understanding each customer's unique product needs and offering solutions across all disciplines of filtration

  • Evaluate filter applications for value optimization and solution presentation.

  • Regularly utilize CRM software to ensure customer contacts are maintained, customer related activities are documented, value added services/cost savings are recorded and Opportunities are actively managed through the lifecycle of the sale.

  • Develop solid technical skills by participating in all company and vendor sponsored product training, as well as utilizing other resources for self-study

  • Generate timely and accurate quotes utilizing the company's business system.

  • Utilize the TFS catalog and the media library for presentations to key purchasing personnel.

  • Support company initiatives in the areas of marketing, sales, and training

  • Manage and ensure compliance regarding implementation of new accounts, including new Strategic Accounts launches by corporate.

  • Maintain weekly expense reports and monthly mileage reports.

  • Utilize auto generated reports to understand, manage and develop business to ensure you are in compliance with pricing, margin, CRM and other expectations.

  • Understand and utilize TFS business systems.

  • Consistently work to implement new programs within the facility, i.e. consigned inventory, kitting, product testing, cost savings and solutions, and customer service-related improvements as a means to authenticate the value of filtration management.

  • Identify and oversee cost savings implementation and documentation

  • Source products, facilitate product cross reference and standardization; minimize Excess and Obsolete inventory.

Educational and Experience

  • Minimum of three years previous outside sales experience required

  • Four- year college degree preferred.

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Previous account management, industrial sales or B2B sales experience required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in good standing

You will be responsible to proactively manage the day-to-day relationships with assigned retailers to ensure that they are selling Charter products and services at all times. You will also be expected to prospect, present Charter benefits and services, negotiate and execute contracts and train and ramp up sales with new and existing authorized retailers. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience * Prospect- Market Development - Acquire authorized retailers by actively prospecting through cold calls, lead, networking, and visits. Convert opportunities by presenting and selling the Charter Authorized Retailer Program * Negotiate- Negotiate and execute agreements with authorized retailers to actively display/sell Charter services. Collect required documentation and interact with administration with the on boarding process * Relationships- Build and maintain relationships with dealer management and sales associates. Regular site visits to strengthen our partnership and promote growth within the program * Training- Conduct presentations for dealer management to educate and train their sales representatives in the sale and promotion of Charter products.
