The Account Manager serves as the primary business contact for the client and is responsible for client satisfaction, ensuring quality production, on time and on budget for a high-volume/high-throughput studio.

The Account Manager is expected to consistently provide excellent project management, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization. In addition, the Account Manager will build relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.


  • Responsible for all client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue.

  • Review all major deliverables (i.e. strategic brief, assets, budget, etc.) to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met.

  • Ensure that client issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing management of any problems that may arise.

  • Work closely with the production & creative teams in order to maintain a continuous knowledge of project status in order to identify potential issues and/or opportunities within or related to the project.

  • Ensure that all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and that projects are profitable.

  • Pursue and be aware of opportunities for account growth and new business, sales or other support.

  • Generating monthly reporting, invoicing, and other administrative duties as necessary.

  • Communicate client goals and represent client interests to the team.

  • Provide regular two-way communication between the client and team, to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations.

  • Understand company capabilities and services, and effectively communicates all offerings to the client.

  • Report to the Group Account Director, providing regular input on all account activity, including status and call reports on a weekly basis.


  • Client Service, Marketing or Advertising agency experience a must.

  • Project Management and coordination experience is required.

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

  • Photography, Packaging, Design, Production and Marketing experience preferred.

  • Cross-platform trained on Mac and PC, highly proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Keynote and familiar with Photoshop.

  • Leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, persuasive selling and demonstrated negotiation skills.

  • Ability to assist in building and implementing long term strategic account plans.

  • Proven success in building effective business relationships.

  • Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, assertiveness, and be results oriented.

  • High level of energy and commitment.

  • Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced changing environment.

  • Ability to work independently.

VIEW JOBS 11/9/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-07T00:00 What you will do The Account Manager position for York Factory Direct, part of the Building Efficiency-Ducted Systems business unit at Johnson Controls, a Fortune 70 company, is responsible for selling residential and light commercial HVAC equipment and supplies directly to the HVAC contractor. The Account Manager develops new customer prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales of York products and programs with a focus on local market accounts and prospective accounts. The Account Manager will maximize revenue and gross margin by growing sales within existing accounts, while identifying and developing new customer opportunities at a level consistent with or exceeding company expectations. While promoting the York brand, the account manager will build market share by serving the customer in a manner consistent with ensuring repeat business. How you will do it * Assist the customer in selecting the correct York products based on customer needs, selling approach, product specifications and applicable regulations. * Negotiate prices and terms of sale. * Ensure high post-sales satisfaction by facilitating positive, long-term relationships and high potential for repeat business with the customers. * Set account and territory plans on an annual, quarterly and monthly basis. * Receive coaching advice from leadership to ensure territory growth through activity management and territory alignment as needed. Preferred * Minimum of 3+ years of direct outside sales experience. Work Environment: * Consistent with York Factory Direct Sales Management process. * Travel required to each customer within aligned market at least once per month, or more frequently where needed. * Has responsibility for generating positive sales growth for a specific geography or vertical market including organic growth and new business development. * Fully leverage the York Factory Direct CRM,, to perform all of the aspects of business on a daily basis. * Compensation is base salary plus commission, and is commensurate with experience. * Healthcare and 401K options available. * Company car is provided.
