This is a sales position with the primary responsibility for developing professional business relationships with customers once the decision to have Office Depot as their MPS Supplier and solutions vendor has been confirmed. The Account Manager (AM) will work toward, selling, using a consultative selling approach, focused on retaining and penetrating an existing customer. Engaged in sales activities in and outside of the office, face-to-face, including, but not limited to, creating relationships with non-Office Depot customers and developing a clear, complete understanding of their potential business issues and needs. Sales activities also include working towards strengthening the businesses relationships and maximizing the penetration opportunity of existing customers by providing holistic business solutions to customers that typically purchase or have the potential to purchase between $25,000 to $250,000. This position will target markets by direct outside sales with customers that typically have between 100 and 1,000 white-collar workers.
This position will have a base revenue and incremental sales goal to achieve annually.
The Account Manager (AM) sustains existing business relationships and seeks opportunities to enhance the existing business potential across all product and service lines.
High School diploma or GED and 4 years experience B2B outside sales.
Strong Sales skills
Proven performance in sales with high achievement and consistently strong results
A thorough grasp of professional and consultative selling skills to include a history of successful contract negotiations. The close cycle ranges from a "one call close" to multiple calls over many months.
A demonstrated working understanding of the customer relationship process and a demonstrated record of mid to senior level customer contacts.
