The Account Manager is responsible for identifying and generating opportunities that drives sales opportunities for Key Accounts. This position is responsible for fostering client satisfaction by maintaining regular customer contact and managing customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Represent locomotive product line.

  • Develop customer relationships and use a consultative sales approach to understand the customer's goals and needs.

  • Manage the sales process for assigned accounts including soliciting, managing and delivering of quotes for assigned products,

  • Work with designers and engineers to deliver prototypes, follow up on open items and engineering changes requires.

  • Partner with suppliers and operations to ensure current programs in production will meet all deliverables.

  • Prospect new opportunities to further penetrate existing accounts and identify new accounts.

  • Maintain the internal business management system to track prospects and account activity for forecasting and demand planning purposes.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or related experience.

  • 5+ years of experience selling and account management experience.

  • Proven track record of selling success.

  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively present information to a group.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Manages the work within the appropriate budget requirements. Works closely with the customer. Duties included but are not limited to the following: Direct and supervise scheduling of work load adjustment with the Assistant Account Manager, Supervisors, Leads, and Cleaning Staff. Maintain daily and weekly labor management control. Report to Senior District Manager any issues or problems with operations, ABM personnel or customer. Provide an environment that will allow subordinates to grow and develop skills for future advancement. Adhere to Branch, Corporate, Division, Region, and Customer policies. Provide support and leadership in special projects/initiatives as directed by the Branch Manager. Oversee staff in working methods and procedures. Notify customer of faulty fixtures or building conditions. Provide customer with outstanding customer service on all levels. Look for TAG opportunities and sell additional ABM services. Make sure proper and adequate staffing levels are maintained. Perform other duties as assigned or applicable. Maintain working relationship with labor union. Carry out disciplinary actions as needed. Perform Safety inspections. Inventory Consumable goods. Adhere to union contract. Minimum Requirements High School graduate or equivalent/GED. Previous cleaning experience is desired. Excellent communication skills. Training in the cleaning industry or building management field is preferred. 5 plus years supervisory experience managing large projects is required. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Spanish literacy skills desired. Must be able to write basic business documents in English. Strong computer skills required (Microsoft Word/Excel).
