Account Manager-MDU & SFU Sales

Great Plains Communications is growing! We are looking for a driven, customer focused professional to assist in retaining accounts for our MDU and SFU Sales Team in the Omaha metro area.

Duties include:

  • Performing activities for the sale of residential services in assigned portfolio.

  • Building, maintaining, and coordinating Great Plains Communications' relationship with prospects and customers.

  • Maintaining a database of targeted customers, their needs, and time frames for potential new opportunities.

  • Meeting or exceeding assigned monthly quota and working toward established sales goals and sales objectives.

  • Cold calling prospects, arranging meetings, and preparing and delivering customer presentations both face-to-face and over the phone.

  • Working closely with Account Executives to determine, develop, and grow this sales channel by targeting specific customers.

  • Maintaining a detailed knowledge of company fiber network to be effective in answering customers' questions and selling company services.

  • Working with Account Executives and Project Management to ensure that post-sale implementation occurs effectively, and that the customer is always satisfied with the services purchased.

  • Developing a sales forecast and the expense budget necessary to support the sales efforts.

  • Providing reporting and information on a regular basis.

Successful candidate must have strong presentation skills, sales skills, time management skills, and written and verbal communication skills. A working knowledge of Salesforce is a plus. Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus 5 years of customer service/sales experience in the telecommunications field is desired. Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
