The Account Manager will aggressively prospect and develop target accounts, respond to customer inquiries, and have responsibility for qualifying project leads identifying sales opportunities for the Belden sales team. An implicit responsibility of the Account Manager is to create a superior customer service experience, setting the stage for product sales growth.
You will have metrics related to sales growth in targeted accounts. Your ability to create sales relationships through cold and warm calls while becoming technically knowledgeable about the Belden product portfolio, distribution channel and strategy, as well as marketing and promotional initiatives are keys to your success in this role. POS Tagging:
this is the process of validating and documenting point of sales for the Strategic Account Managers as these accounts are global which makes it difficult to track all the sales and tag them appropriately to the correct end user account for each of the SAMs.
Develop superior customer service relationship with targeted Partner Alliance companies
Maintain and grow a positive working relationship with Belden field sales associates, direct and indirect.
Maintain an outbound call volume
Identify and qualify opportunities for the Belden family of products
Properly enter sales lead information into computer database
Achieve/exceed quarterly goals set for the team. Goal will focus on key initiatives in said time frame as well as quota achievement in names accounts
Qualify assigned sales leads based upon qualification criteria definitions
Attend regional meetings. Minimal travel throughout the year
Track assigned daily metrics
Work closely with field sales, developing leads and keyaccount relationships
Efficiently respond to product requests and other customer questions
Required Skills and Experience
2 years of Inside Sales or Customer Service Experience preferred
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Excellent communication skills
