Job Title: Account Manager
Location: Lake County, IL (Hybrid Remote)
Hours: 8:00am
FLSA: Exempt, Full-Time, Direct Hire
A leading manufacturer of electronic assembly robotics machines and software is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Account Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for all sales promotion activities related to machinery and peripheral equipment for North American customers, working closely with the National Sales Manager. You will leverage your technical and engineering knowledge to maximize sales impact.
Initially, your focus will be on inside sales during the first year to familiarize yourself with the products and operations. Afterward, you will transition to outside sales, with a strong emphasis on business development.
This role requires up to 30% travel. You will also collaborate with the Technical Service Team to assist in troubleshooting machine and software issues.
The ideal candidate will have over three years of B2B sales experience and a background in machinery or a technical role. Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge is a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement: Engage daily with current and potential customers across North America to promote sales, follow up on leads, and build new relationships within the semiconductor manufacturing market.
Sales Management Collaboration: Regularly communicate with the Sales management team to gather and utilize necessary information for sales promotion activities.
Sales Support: Manage sales and purchase orders from customers, address customer issues, and respond to both commercial and technical inquiries and claims.
Logistics Coordination: Work with internal logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products.
Presentations & Communication: Deliver presentations and effectively communicate with customers and internal teams.
Travel Requirements: Travel, including international trips, to meet customers and support sales promotion efforts as required.
Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with various departments to address and resolve customer concerns or sales-related issues.
Sales Promotion Activities: Execute sales promotion strategies according to the Sales Manager's guidelines, including handling pricing, terms, conditions, warranties, and service contracts.
Additional Responsibilities: Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of B2B sales experience.
Experience in machinery or technical roles within an industrial setting.
Strong presentation skills.
Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
Mechanical, Automation, Semiconductor, and SMT related experience is a strong plus.
