YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary:

A Sales Representative is responsible for executing Brenntag Specialties, Inc. HI&I sales strategy and representing the company in a professional manner in their sales territory while growing sales, gross profit, and volume; as well as reporting on their activities to external and internal audiences.

Job Description:

  • Build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations.

  • Provide timely and helpful information to individuals across the organization.

  • Build constructive relationships with people both similar and different to yourself. Build relationships across functions and levels within a customer

  • Increase sales through superior customer targeting, value and solution-based selling, effective time and territory management, and sound tactical strategies focused on existing and new customers

  • Execute Brenntag Specialties HI&I Sales Strategy to meet or exceed growth goals

  • Obtain maximum order bookings from assigned territory and assure communication with others on an ongoing basis.

  • Ensure that time/territory management skills are used

  • Prioritize all accounts relative to business potential

  • Maximize direct sales time in front of customer

  • Pursue product emphasis goals in relation with business objectives

  • Protect and expand base business

  • Displace competitors while maintaining position in existing accounts

  • Prepare account plans for all key accounts and review on a semiannual basis

  • Harness and effectively utilize necessary technology and management resources to ensure success

  • Update and communicate specific sales action plans to ensure success with all product lines

  • Ensure that CRM database is updated and maintained

  • Proactively communicate opportunities across all sales channels

  • Promote and sell the company image and Total Value

  • Assist in the development of technical seminars, Lunch and Learns, major customer product presentations, and participate in local trade shows and professional societies

  • Introduce and promote new products

  • Utilize all appropriate sales collateral

  • Actively pursue professional sales development and technical competence

YOUR PROFILE

Education and Experience:

  • 4-year degree in a technical field or equivalent experience (i.e. laboratory experience)

  • Minimum 4-year experience in the HI&I market or closely related field

  • Exceptional communication skills and demonstrated ability to sell value from solutions

  • Proficient in all related software tools (Microsoft Office, CRM, etc.)

  • Experience in Chemical Distribution preferred

  • Minimum 2-year experience in B2B Technical Sales

  • Exceptional communication skills and demonstrated ability to sell value from solutions.

  • Proficient in all related software tools including Microsoft Office, Salesforce.com CRM, Virtual Meeting Platforms (ie: Microsoft Team, Zoom, Skype, etc.), etc.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

  • Ability to learn, understand, and sell the value of chemistries and solutions that Brenntag Specialties, Inc. represents.

  • Proven ability to execute and implement sales strategies for profitable growth.

  • Established history of sales goal achievements through value selling.

  • Ability to foster relationships with key principal and customer accounts as well as colleagues.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with all levels of customers, personnel, and management.

  • Excellent time management, organization, follow up, and task prioritization.
