Account Manager Commercial Lines (Hybrid)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Providing superior day to day client service by anticipating client needs and responding to client and producer questions and issues in a timely manner.

• Marketing and quoting new business opportunities generated both independently, as well as from producers/advisors with an emphasis on Business Insurance Risk Management.

• Preparing new business proposals and presenting same when requested by client or producer.

• Ordering and processing renewal and change requests with an emphasis on Business Insurance Risk Management.

• Binding, invoicing, premium collection and file documentation of assigned accounts.

• Actively soliciting and processing additional lines of coverage on all accounts.

• Working to ensure highest level of retention according to agency procedures and standards.

• Assisting clients in the reporting of claims.

• Maintaining accurate policy data in agency management system (AMS360).

• Maintaining all client documents, phone records and meeting records in document management system (WorkSmart).

• Consistently documenting activities and correspondence per agency guidelines.

• Maintaining a courteous and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, insurance carriers and other business contacts.

• Directing assigned Assistant Account Managers in their daily duties.

• Remaining informed regarding industry information new product information, legislation, coverage and technology.

• Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.

• 5 Years Commercial Lines Agency experience in a highly automated, risk management focused environment.

• Licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance in the state of IL or obtain within 60 days of hire date.

• Exceptional presentation skills, including verbal and written communication.

• Strong analytical, judgment, and decision-making skills.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially in Excel and Word.

• Working knowledge of AMS360 and/or WorkSmart systems a strong plus.
