You Will

Account Managers will produce positive sales growth for a specific geography or vertical market with an average of 30-35 current accounts and average of $2 to $3.5M dollars annually. Use Grainger's Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Salesforce, to perform all the aspects of business daily. You will report to the District Sales Manager of Commercial.

  • Understand customer goals and remain alert and responsive to changing customer needs

  • Demonstrate knowledge of market data and access to resources to quickly respond to new developments in the customer's business

  • Oversee support of managed inventory tasks to guide greater understanding of the customers, increase contacts within the customer group and increase sales results.

  • Understand Grainger's Value Proposition by providing solutions to grow profitable sales

  • Develop account penetration strategies to include regular business reviews for essential customers to maximize sales

You Have

  • 3+ years of direct outside sales experience

  • Sales forecasting opportunity management and customer planning

  • Travel required to each customer within aligned market at least once per month, or more frequently where needed

  • Process discipline, ability to align planning goals with a pipeline development process to grow market revenue

  • Ability to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns, and determine appropriate solutions

  • High School diploma or GED

This position is responsible for the supervisor of other employees.</p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served.</p></li><li><p>Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.</p></li><li><p>Prepares a variety of proteins such as wild game, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of traditional foods.</p></li><li><p>Ensures all catering activities and services are provided in a high quality, consistent, and cost-effective manner.</p></li><li><p>Maintains a clean and sanitary work station.</p></li><li><p>Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes.</p></li><li><p>Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.</p></li><li><p>Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.</p></li><li><p>Meets with supervisors to discuss daily menus, issues, and problems.</p></li><li><p>Supports an effective safety program.</p></li><li><p>This position is responsible for the supervision of staff.</p></li><li><p>Performs other duties as assigned by the Management Team.</p></li><li><p>Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned.</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications</p><p>Minimum Requirements</p><ul><li><p>Must have a High school diploma or GED equivalent.</p></li><li><p>Must have Municipality of Anchorage Food Handler's Card or ServSafe contingent upon 30 days of hire.</p></li><li><p>Must have three (3) years of Sous Chef experience in a commercial kitchen in a food service operation, restaurant, hotel or hospital.</p></li><li><p>Must have knowledge and training in using a variety of food production equipment.</p></li><li><p>Must be able to work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner.</p></li><li><p>Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.</p></li><li><p>This work location requires COVID-19 vaccination.</p></li><li><p>Must pass a fingerprinting background investigation that complies with The Crime Control Act, Child Care Worker Act and the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act.</p></li><li><p>Contract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English.</p></li><li><p>Proof of immunization for measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), Varicella (chicken pox), TB, and any other immunizations and screenings designated in the current ANTHC Employee Health Program for Infection Control in Hospital Personnel.</p></li><li><p>Contract requires candidate to get a flu shot pre-hire and annually thereafter.</p></li><li><p>Contractor may be required to maintain all employee health records on site.</p></li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><ul><li><p>Knowledge of traditional indigenous foods of Alaska.</p></li><li><p>Some baking experience highly desired.</p></li></ul><p>Working Conditions and Physical Requirements</p><p>Weather: Indoor/Outdoor (Occasional exposure to moderate weather)</p><p>Noise level: Moderate</p><p>Description of environment: This is an industrial hospital kitchen located in a healthcare setting.</p><p>Physical requirements: Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
