Manages ongoing relationships and service delivery to clients for multiple accounts. Acts as outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) for regional and midmarket workers compensation and auto claims offices and TPA's. Builds relationships with employer/group clients (not individual members) and serves as the primary point of contact for overall and day-to-day service delivery. Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs. This function includes employees who are in dedicated on-site service roles and who work remotely. Jobs in this function are responsible for identifying cross selling and growth opportunities within their designated accounts and works closely with sales, product management, operations and finance to retain and grow revenue. Account management jobs focused primarily on relationship and service management belong in this family; jobs with significant sales responsibilities or sales-related incentives (including 'OTH' plans) belong in a sales band. Manages a designated group of accounts to meet or exceed revenue projections through focused and strategic account planning and maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Works with client management and decision makers of designated accounts to set mutually beneficial annual goals and strategize to increase utilization of all services and programs, meet/exceed budget goals and ensure client satisfaction.

  • Works with management to set annual goals by product line and strategize to increase utilization of all services and programs. Recognizes cross sell and growth opportunities and strategies with appropriate teams to grow revenue in assigned accounts.

  • Establishes and maintains contact and effective communication with all levels of designated accounts, including business reviews illustrating utilization and savings.

  • Manages the process for the introduction, implementation and roll out of new products and services including focus groups and re-education as needed.

  • Works with Regional Sales, National Account Management and National Sales teams as well as operational business leaders to ensure alignment of business processes and goals and the establishment of account management best practices. Disseminates key information on accounts to appropriate leadership groups.

  • Works with all internal areas to manage account initiatives and deliverables and tracks account initiatives.

  • Works with all internal areas to resolve and track client service issues and solve problems. Champions client's programs/ initiatives. Serves as point of contact for issue resolution and problem solving.

  • Travels as needed to clients, conferences, events, etc.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)

  • Must be able to work EST hours 8am-5pm

  • 3 years of account management experience

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office with the ability to edit, create and save spreadsheets and documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Access to reliable transportation that will enable you to travel to client and/or patient sites within a designated area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior sales experience

  • Experience in pharmacy/ancillary/PPO/bill review/settlement/claims

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher)

  • Public speaking experience

This position will be responsible for developing and managing reporting and analytics tools and resources that have a global impact on customer experience, business operations and strategic enhancements. In this role, your underlying mission is to serve as a hybrid role between the individual business need of the product/market they serve and the technical developers. An effective Business Oriented BI Manager possess the ability to work with data -- to identify insights that matter to the organization – and then to understand the product well enough to act on insights in the appropriate way. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: * Work closely with key functional leaders, reporting development teams and IT to develop and maintain a data management and reporting strategy for a Population Health Services health product(s) * Partner with high priority customers and consultants to maximize the value of reporting * Prioritize and plan timing of improvements to existing client and operational reporting given both customer and internal needs and the timing of new IT improvements such as clinical case management systems * Analyze data to understand source system data availability and fit for purpose * Develop reporting, data analysis and wireframe documents to support business, customer and reporting development efforts * Create consistent definitions of key measures to be used throughout the business eg customer reports that measure utilization are measured consistently * Collaborate with customer, product, clinical and operational teams to ensure reporting requirements and parameters are aligned to deliver consistent customer and business expectations * Ensure all critical reports are accurate, regularly scheduled, and shared with the right individuals according to an agreed on reporting calendar * Develop and manage an intake for new reporting requests to ensure requirements are documented accurately and cross-functionally aligned * Partner with data analytics teams to showcase the value of products and processes * Develop future state business reporting needed to manage the business effectively Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree * 3 years of general business experience including operational and customer reporting responsibilities in a large, predominantly matrixed organization * 3 years of experience in reporting, analytics and product mapping * 1 years of developing strategic relationships with matrix partners with proven success of influencing and partnering to drive enterprise outcomes * Strong data visualizations skills in tools such as Tableau or DOMO * Experience using data analysis tools such as SQL, SAS, Advanced MS Office suite (Access, Power Query) or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: * MBA or advanced degree * Experience working effectively with executive management and building strong relationships across a variety of stakeholders and business partners, including UHC/UHG leadership * Experience understanding complex concepts and situations, including the ability to link strategic direction to day-to-day tactical activities * Effective and persuasive communication skills – both written and verbal. * Experience successfully influencing and driving outcomes without direct authority * Proven track record delivering strong results, both as a manager and contributor * Demonstrated experience effectively leading a team of direct and indirect reports Careers with Optum.
