What You'll Do

The vision of the Public Sector organization is to help Governments protect, serve, and educate citizens at the National, State, and Local level. Our organization serves the State/Local Government and Education. You will work with an incredible team of Public Sector Account Managers and partner with a talented group of Systems Engineers, who share the same passion. You'll play a pivotal role in the sales process and position a large portfolio of technology products and services. You'll help advance Public Sector Sales and make our customers lives better and easier by effectively selling across all levels sand you will deliver large strategic wins using a go to market sales model driving business relevant/customer value selling and exceeding goals.

  • You will drive sales achievement focusing on account and resource planning and allocation to drive sales attainment numbers.

  • You will accurately forecast your monthly, quarterly and annual revenue streams; driving growth.

  • Financial Acumen & Performance

  • Analyzing your customer's financials to understand their needs. Assessing consumption models needs per customer. Driving business planning and goal attainment.

Who You Are

You are self-starter with that will build executive relationships, articulate Cisco's product and business strategies, create demand and close deals. You've successfully worked with complex technical solutions including calling on key decision makers and all other technical and business influencers. You have the ability to negotiate solutions and resolve issues with peers, partners and customers employing a Win/Win philosophy. Previous experience working with Product Engineering Teams in creating integrated solutions that address complex problems with a focus on the Cisco value proposition. You have keen ability to position turnkey solutions and articulate primary vendor strategies to senior customer Executives. You will have validated experience in processes for successful account management including forecasting, quota over achievement, sales presentations, short term, mid-term and long term opportunity management.

  • You have experience in building executive relationships with multiple named accounts while providing insight and strategy around how Services-Led customers go-to-market; mapping our solutions to our client's customers.

  • You have demonstrate ability to sell within traditional IT hierarchy as well as non-IT business units - particularly around how Cisco can enable our customer's service delivery.

  • You develop and execute annual plan for named account in line with company strategy.

  • Business forecasting (monthly forecast, weekly commit, and pipeline development) required.

  • You are able to engage and lead cross-functional/virtual resources as part of extended team. Excellent presentation skills required.

  • You have confirmed negotiation skills, be a self-starter, and a strong closer. Understanding of large business organizations and their buying cycles is preferred.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

  • Your experience selling in areas such as data center, networking, and/or unified collaboration.

  • You're an excellent communicator with expertise in building/leading large sales teams

  • You are a Self-starter, respectful negotiator and strong closer

  • You have a BA degree (MBA preferred) or 7+ years account management experience

  • Forward-thinking presentation skills

The primary responsibility is to support sales team initiatives and enrollment support. This would include new business and retention efforts for all agencies including key agency relationships. The position requires the ability to manage workflow activities for both Small and Large Group so business is processed in a timely manner. The individual in this role needs to have the skill sets to nurture client relationships using exceptional communication and follow up skills. In addition, the position requires the ability to learn and share best practices in reviewing group applications and pending items to ensure timely approvals. Position may require mandatory overtime during months of heavy volume. Essential Functions: * Support and Assist Sales with all Quoting Initiatives and Enrollments including new business, renewals, retention and upselling ancillary. * Travel and driving may be required so a valid driver's license and insurance is required. Proof must be available upon request. * The Role should impact overall sales by: * Increasing capacity to grow our key agency relationships * Grow and retain ISR block of business * Works closely with Sales in marketing and retention efforts of renewals 60-120 days in advance. * Assist Key agencies (support Sales team in turning around quotes within 24 hour commitment for agents and region key relationships like ADP. * Work with Sales and Brokers to make sure all client census data, current/renewal rates, plan designs, alternative rates, etc. are received to process quotes. * Send out Request for Proposals and track quotes as they come in verifying benefits, premium rates and competitiveness * Knowledge of marketplace; carriers, underwriting requirements and the benefits and services they offer * Communicates with Sales and Brokers of all important activities on group accounts including pending items on cases in underwriting * Follows up with Account Management or Carrier if needed to ensure all small employee applications changes, additions and terminations and enrollments. * May assist with any face to face enrollment efforts including online * Assist sales with Small and Large Group Health and Ancillary products. * Assist Sales Team with scheduling enrollments, ordering, maintaining and coordinating all enrollment supplies. Contact brokers and clients to set up enrollments. Confirm plan choices, contributions, addresses and phone numbers and communicate this information to the Sales Team. * Assist sales and admin team with special projects as needed. * Verify case submitted are complete * Review Work with the underwriting team to meet 24 hour turn time by prioritizing the day's workflow * Assist Team Lead or Manager with Pre-Sale Questions or projects * Provide excellent Customer Service to internal and external customers * Assist with filing during downtime * On-site regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job. * Performs other business tasks or functions as assigned. * This description is not meant to be all-inclusive and may be modified from time to time at the discretion of management. Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: Must speak fluent English and communicate effectively. Must have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience with group medical insurance must have strong people skills, strong phone skills and ability to prioritize; must be detail-oriented, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing parameters. Must be proficient in Word and Excel. Educational Requirements: High School Graduate. College degree preferred and industry designations helpful, but not required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and occasional standing and walking. Must have adequate hearing for phone work. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Must be able to use a keyboard and other office equipment.
