We are looking for a Account Manager to join our Hunter Panel's Cusomter Service team in Portland, ME. This position is the primary contact between Hunter Panels and all material distributors and is responsible for responding to Customer, Sales Rep and Regional Sales Manager requests promptly and accurately. The Account Manager will be expected to form strong relationships with Customers, Sales Reps, and Regional Sales Managers interacting with them daily via phone and email to answer questions, take orders and resolve problems in a professional and friendly way.

Job Responsibilities

  • Form strong relationships with Customers and provide excellent customer service to help influence sales

  • Communicate and collaborate with Sales Reps and Regional Sales Managers to manage quotes and orders within assigned territory.

  • Manage orders for assigned territory including but not limited to order entry, review of open orders, close out of expired orders, credits, debits, and returns as needed.

  • Work with Sales Reps and Regional Sales Managers to establish pricing based on individual markets and competitive information.

  • Manage quotes, cases and customer contacts in CRM

  • Handle all customer requests and provide accurate pricing and applicable lead times.

  • Work with customers to resolve issues in a timely and satisfactory way.

  • Respond to quote requests, logging quotes as necessary and working with outside sales to follow up.

  • Maintain a network of appropriate contacts within the various departments such as Dispatch, outside sales, Tapered, Scheduling, Technical, Credit, IT, etc. as well as with external vendors.

  • Review sales reports to ensure continued business growth for target customers and key accounts.

  • Support territory by providing inside sales representation, proactively marketing Slow Moving Obsolete Goods (SMOG), Sales Specials, etc.

  • Use SAP functionality and order management to procure material as necessary

  • Play an active role in the success of the inside sales team via individual contribution, i.e. assisting and coaching team members and participating in process improvement projects

Job Requirements

  • An Assocaite's degree is required for this position; a Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.

  • 3-5 years of customer service experience is required.

  • Strong communication skills, written and oral, are required.

  • SAP experience is preferred.

Job Description & Qualifications Job Summary Builds relationships and develops plans to increase sales and profitability for mid-size accounts that are regional or national in scope and make regional or national purchasing decisions. Drives sales by creating, executing and communicating business plans to grow sales for HD Supply. Negotiates regional contracts and rebate programs. Ensures effective implementation of regional account programs through all sales channels. This position requires operation of a Company Vehicle or a Personal Vehicle and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of the average work week. If selected for this position, HD Supply will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. A requirement of this position is an acceptable MVR report. Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities * Generates viable sales leads and prospects through market and account research, sales events, networking, vendor events and computer programs. Contacts assigned and prospective accounts to secure new business. * Develops and executes profitable business plans for managing accounts. Teams with individuals within sales and key corporate personnel to communicate account plans, pricing, and offer assistance to drive sales. * Develops, executes and communicates business plans for profitably growing sales of assigned customers.
