Compass Analytics is a leading provider of mortgage pricing and risk management services and analytics to financial institutions nationwide. Compass is actively seeking an experienced secondary marketing candidate for its downtown San Francisco office to serve as Account Manager. The candidate will employ our proprietary risk management and best execution software,CompassPoint, to provide hands on support to clients with onboarding and daily pipeline hedging, best execution and loan sales activity, delivering exemplary customer service. This role will also contribute to the further development and delivery of our innovative and fully integrated suite of technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Three to five years capital markets experience with hands on experience in hedging pipelines, trading, pull-through modeling, best execution and loan sales, profit/loss and position reconciliation, rate sheet creation, margin strategies. MSR valuation, Pricing Engine and software development experience are a plus.
  • Customer service orientation, as this role requires the ability to work directly with multiple clients.
  • Strong work ethic, high level of integrity and ethical standards as our team members have a direct, material impact on our firms reputation and performance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills and attention to detail are a must.
  • Graduate or Undergraduate degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, computer science, MIS, mathematics, or physics.

The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. We are looking for talented and ambitious individuals to join our large community of quants who are working on a wide range of problems in model development, model risk assessment, and audit. Areas of applications include: loss and revenue forecasting, credit decisions, financial crimes, fair lending, operational risks, and stress testing. We use state-of-the-art statistical, mathematical, and machine learning techniques to develop and assess models in these areas. We also use AI techniques (natural language processing, deep learning algorithms, and others) to model information in unstructured data (text, voice and images). Corporate Model Risk (CMoR): CMoR is Wells Fargo's center of excellence for validating all models in the enterprise. Validation involves assessing all aspects of model risk: data quality and bias, replicating development models, assessing their assumptions and limitations, and developing benchmark models to challenge predictive performance, interpretability, and so on. CMoR has more than 150 quants who validate a variety of models in capital markets as well as credit & operational risks.
