Position Description

As an Account Manager Associate in the Birmingham, AL area, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

  • Exceed quarterly quota expectations as established by management

  • Manage the full breadth of our products in hospitals and the OR

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships and contacts in top accounts

  • Provide the highest levels of support and service to your accounts

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

  • 3+ years of professional B2B sales experience with formal sales training

  • Medical device sales experience preferred but not required

  • Demonstrated performance record with clear documentation of success

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proven goal oriented, self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial drive

  • Must live in the geographical location of the position or be willing to relocate

  • Ability to travel to Southern California for a 3-week training class

  • 4 year degree

VIEW JOBS 11/17/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-02-15T00:00 Fleet Safety & Health Manager - Birmingham Description Fleet Safety & Health Manager (Corporate) JOB SUMMARY: This position exists to provide leadership for the Southern Nuclear Safety and Health functional area, ensuring comprehensive, cost-effective processes are in place to protect SNC employees from workplace–related accidents. This position is responsible for managing the Safety and Industrial Hygiene functional area for the SNC Fleet and developing strong safety and industrial hygiene processes focused on prevention of workplace accidents. The Fleet Safety & Health Manager serves as the Corporate Functional Area Manager (CFAM) and in that capacity sets policy and provides program direction via Governance, Oversight, and by providing direct Support of certain program elements. The Fleet Safety & Health Manager reports to the Fleet Governance & Oversight General Manager and interacts functionally with the site Safety Coordinators who serve as the Site Functional Area manager (SFAM). The Fleet Safety & Health Manager is responsible for the SNC Safety Program including a Comprehensive Accident Prevention Program to ensure that the SNC work force is protected from injuries related to accidents in the workplace. They serve as the primary interface with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for regulatory matters and with other external groups such as INPO, NEI, EPRI, NISHA and others providing guidance and oversight to the SNC fleet. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: * Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene/Safety, Engineering, Public Health, Environmental Health or a related field * Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist or other safety-oriented credentials are preferred Experience, Knowledge and Skills: * Minimum of seven (7) years' experience as a Safety professional with at least five (5) years in a leadership role * Previous experience as a Site Functional Area Manager is desired * Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA Safety and Health regulations as they apply to the electric utility industry and particularly to nuclear power plants. Knowledge of Workers Compensation and Contractor/Premise Liability issues and National Safety and Health Standards * Working knowledge of Process Safety Management, Fire Protection, Emergency response and respiratory protection are desired * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Team oriented with ability to solve problems and develop innovative solutions to complex problems * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization * Strong leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills coupled with high integrity aligning with Our Values * Strong computer skills with emphasis on managing and trending data * Strong knowledge of budgets and budget processes * Previous experience implementing and overseeing industrial safety governance in a matrix organization is highly desired * Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist Credentials preferred MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Develop Safety and Heath Governance for the SNC fleet and provide the Oversight needed to ensure excellence in implementation. * Develop strong working relationships with the fleet SFAMs and serve as the leader for the Peer Team and other groups proving oversight of the Safety and Health program * Provide the technical conscience for the organization and drive the sites to excellence in compliance in the Safety and Health area. * Maintain the departmental budget and approve invoices and expenses associated with departmental activities. * Provide comprehensive management of the Safety and Health program with a focus on Standardization and Fleet behaviors * Establish and maintain an organizational structure with the necessary resources to sustain excellence in the Safety and Health area * Partner with Safety and Health managers at Southern Company to identify commons solutions and best practices to leverage consistency in the Safety and Health practices across Southern Company * Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Fleet that are proactive and focused on prevention of accidents. Ensure KPI data is analyzed to detect adverse trends and that action is taken on trends to prevent accidents before they occur * Provide strong performance management to staff and work to develop each staff member to their fullest potential * Represent SNC in internal and external safety groups and organizations. Actively participate in leadership roles in external organizations to drive SNC positions in the industry Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Fleet Governance & Oversight General Manager and interacts with SNC and contractor personnel at all levels including executive management. The FHISM is the CFAM for the Safety and Health functional area and is assigned all responsibilities associated with CFAM functions. As the CFAM, the FSIHM is viewed as the program owner and is expected to provide the leadership necessary to drive excellence in that functional area.
