What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Conduct daily face-to-face customer visits to drive increases in local and support local sales in national and strategic accounts

  • Grow share of wallet within existing customer base, gain share of wallet from new customers and grow overall market share within your assigned territory

  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers

  • Facilitate the networking of service center managers, supervisors, directors of sales and operations with our customer

  • Collaborate with Customer Support Specialists, Customer Service Representatives, and other sales support staff to ensure customer satisfaction and effective administrative support

  • Develop relationships vertically and horizontally within a customer business

  • Share market and sales status with local service center and describe future business opportunities for local employees

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent skills and/or work experience

  • 2 years of direct business-to-business selling experience supporting both local and national sales efforts

  • Proven track record of sales success, customer relations, and collaboration across multiple business units

  • Experience working with enterprise customer relationship management (CRM) tools

  • Flexibility to work evenings and some weekends

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Experience working in salesforce.com

  • A competitive nature, with a "hunter" mentality

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills, and the ability to be productive in a variety of work environments

  • Ability to understand competitor strategies, products and pricing patterns

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Sales and Customer Account Executive at Bolthouse Farms will work closely with assigned customers, third-party carriers, distribution centers, and various internal departments to achieve the highest level of customer service while enhancing mutual growth and profitability. This includes but is not limited to executing accurate and timely customer fulfillment thorough accuracy of order entry, order shipment, order completeness, invoice accuracy, and resolving disputes involving deductions. This person will be part of a team that works as a liaison with all Bolthouse Farms warehouses and distribution centers insuring stock is available to meet fill rate goals as well as to insure on time shipping and performance in a proficient manner. JOB DUTIES: Deliver a highly focused customer centric service commitment based on timely and accurate communication and data interchange between the customer, field sales, logistics, operations, and finance. The Sales and Customer Management Representative will work cooperatively with outside sales and other members of the distribution team to grow existing customers, create new customers while increasing customer service while performing the following duties: * Maintain key top-to-top relationships with Bolthouse sales team to better understand their needs and enable effective and cost efficient customer service plans * Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions * Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications * Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability * Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns * Provide the resolution of escalated internal and external issues. Act as primary interface point with manufacturing, logistics, operations, and sales management as well as the customer(s) * Increase sales and average order size by means of up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items< >Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint * Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction * Handle logistics function such as tracking of shipments and returns. * Provide appropriate communication to customers during times of variability within the lifecycle of an order Other duties as assigned REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Proven organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple customers and deadlines. * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle a high stress, multi-tasking environment. * Natural aptitude for logical problem solving and analytical skills and strategic thinking abilities. * Takes initiative and is proactive in a dynamic work environment. * Be able to work with minimal supervision. * Must be detailed oriented, accurate, and proficient with data entry skills. * Proficient use of English language when speaking, reading and writing. * Must exhibit strong degree of professionalism. * Proficient in Microsoft to include Excel (formulas, pivot tables and charts), Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. * Strong problem solving skills * Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle a high‐stress, multi‐task environment * Must exhibit strong degree of professionalism MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * 2 years customer service and/or sales experience * Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or closely related field or equivalent experience * Prior experience with JD Edwards is a plus * Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, and Excel * Accurate typing and data entry skills * Proficient use of English language when speaking, reading and writing PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience in exporting goods overseas in the manufacturing or food service industry. * Knowledge of JD Edwards and other ERP systems. * Experience with Red Prairie or other inventory management systems, is a major plus.
