We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive - Physician Office Labs within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics business.

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (formerly Alere) is part of Abbott's Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry-leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.

TERRITORY:

Candidate to be based in either Portland, Oregon or Vancouver, Washington.

SUMMARY:

The scope of this position is responsible for achieving established sales goals for the Infectious Disease portfolio. Sales goals and objectives for these products will be assigned to a territory in support of the Company's overall strategic plan. The position is primarily focused on the Physician Office Laboratory market and customers as directed by the Company. As required to support Company priorities, this focus can be modified and/or expanded to include other markets and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify sales opportunities and capitalize on them.

  • Establish, develop and maintain the business and client relationships.

  • Strategic development of POC Sales opportunities.

  • Implement sales, marketing and national account programs as directed by management.

  • Build and maintain a strong competitive product knowledge

  • Contribute to the region's growth through teamwork and collaboration with other members of the sales organization.

  • Assist with the management of complex sales by providing technical expertise

  • Meet established sales goals and objectives while maintaining territory budget.

  • Plan, coordinate and manage the sales performance of third-party distributor sales force(s) in the assigned territory. Train and develop these sales force(s) to establish and maintain the ability to effectively represent Abbott's products in the marketplace.

  • Support distribution partners in the sale of products, including training, sales meetings, technical expertise, and marketing support of the Abbott product lines and distributor private branded products.

  • Act as a resource for contract negotiation, pricing, proposal, bid preparation and all customer follow-up.

  • Identify customer issues and resolve sales related difficulties.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in sales, marketing, business management or life science

  • 6 years' experience in medical diagnostics or business-to-business sales.

  • Understanding and experience working with Distribution Partners

  • Strong knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies

  • Demonstrated ability in execution of sales strategies

  • Proven successful POC/Capital Equipment sales experience.

Responsibilities for our Account Managers include daily sales calls on existing customers. They present products to architects, designers, end users and other users. New end use business development skills are highly preferred. Additionally, he or she will continually prospect for viable new accounts while developing a key awareness of what is happening within the South and Central Oregon areas. Responsibilities: * Characteristics to include honesty, integrity, hard work, enthusiasm and motivation. * Work with architects, designers, flooring contractors, end users, contractors, etc. to select appropriate products for their projects that fit within their design criteria, budget and time frame. * Travel daily throughout assigned area to call on existing customers and prospect new customers to solicit business. * Manage project from inception to completion including identifying opportunity, product selection, specification, order placement, order tracking, delivery coordination, installation oversight, punch walk/ claim coordination( if necessary), and communication of maintenance program. * Must be motivated and comfortable working and supporting a closely knit team environment. * Must be able and competent to work with and manage customer base thru CRM ( Customer Relationship Management) tool such as Salesforce.com * Follow up on a variety of leads from sources such as Dodge, CoStar, networking groups * Build relationships with existing and new customers by entertaining such as lunches, dinners or special events. Patcraft Account Managers will implement the selling process in his/her area; they must have the ability to make good judgment decisions. A full understanding of the product line is essential. An understanding of the application that each product serves is critical. The ability to interface/communicate with a diverse group of customers in a friendly and respectable manner is a very important. Our ideal candidate will possess a flexible personality and be able to communicate clearly to other persons, both orally and in written form. Patcraft Account Managers will give presentations to architects, designers, and end-users to educate them on the flooring industry and how Patcraft can benefit them on their projects. Preferred Skills & Experience: * Bachelor's degree. * Candidate already living within or familiar with the South and Central Oregon areas is strongly preferred. * Commercial flooring experience preferred, or commercial interiors or finishes.
