Account Executive, Pharmacy Benefits Management Consultant will have accountability for driving and supporting growth and retention efforts for UHC pharmacy offerings in the market. They will serve as the subject matter expert for all pharmacy related initiatives impacting the assigned Health Plan and its internal and external stakeholders.

Directly accountable for sale closure on assigned UHC Pharmacy opportunities
Support other health plan staff in developing and evaluating pharmacy bids when not directly involved in the sale
Work in close coordination with underwriting and other internal SMEs to build the most competitive offering for each opportunity
Position the UHC pharmacy value story with clients when directly involved in new sales and retention opportunities
Provide tools and education to other Health Plan resources (e.g. SAE, AE) to enable them to better support and grow UHC pharmacy membership
Establish and maintain relationships with key external partners in the market including brokers and consultants to:
Drive new sales opportunities at a case level
Present the UHC value story in a way that will improve the perception of the integrated pharmacy model
Provide global education on UHC pharmacy offerings and capabilities
Maintain extensive knowledge of the local and national competitive landscape and key threats to the ability to grow and maintain integrated pharmacy membership
Work in conjunction with health plan leadership to develop the overall sales and retention strategy for UHC pharmacy business
Aid in the development and implementation of organization wide initiatives to improve pharmacy competitiveness
Present on all aspects of pharmacy performance in the assigned market to senior leaders across the organization
Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders including UHC Pharmacy and OptumRx
Undergraduate degree in business or healthcare related field
5 years' relevant experience in a healthcare related field
2 years' experience in a direct sales or account management role
2 years' experience in commercial Pharmacy Benefit Management underwriting
Experience in a managed care pharmacy environment
Emphasis on experience in pharmacy pricing
Experience in reviewing and analyzing pharmacy and medical claims data
Proficiency with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
Strong presentation and communication skills
7 years' experience in a direct sales or account management role
3 years of experience working directly with pharmacy benefits
Advanced degree in a related field (e.g. Pharm. D.)
