Account Executive requirements:

  • 2+ years of sales, marketing, or advertising experience

  • Strong understanding of SEM, SEO, Online Display, and Social marketing

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, including Power Point, Excel, and Outlook

  • Technically savvy and proficient user of the iPad

  • Strong work ethic and highly motivated

  • Self-disciplined to work independently

  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills

  • Ability to walk up to 5 miles per day, carry 25 pounds, sit or drive 2-4 hours, and stand 1-2 hours per day

  • Successful completion of a drug screen and background check

  • Reliable, insured transportation in most markets

  • Valid state driver's license

These aren't required, but it'd be great if you have them:

  • Google, Microsoft, SEMPO Certifications

  • Working knowledge of OneNote

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Advertising

(Foundation) donor base and growing the level of financial support both for operating and endowment needs. Plans, organizes, and prioritizes tasks to meet established goals. Uses verbal, written, and visual communication methods to communicate with current and potential donors about the Foundation. Builds rapport and trust with donors in a manner that is compatible with the mission and vision of the Foundation and Bismarck Veterans Memorial Public Library (Library). Manages the Foundation Office. Works in harmony with a board of directors, standing committees, and Library staff. EXAMPLES OF WORK: 1. Works with an 18-member Board of Directors and six standing committees to meet the Foundation's mission of enriching publicly-funded Library services by raising private funds to enhance collections, resources, and facilities. 2. Researches, writes, and submits grant opportunities for the Foundation and Library for large capital campaign grants, annual requests, and special projects. 3. Works with the Board of Directors and Foundation Financial Assistant to conduct monthly board meetings and committee meetings. 4. Provides a written monthly activities report for review at the Board of Directors meetings. 5. Works with the Development Committee to carry out annual events, including an employee appreciation luncheon, a spring fundraising event, and the Pearce Award for Library Service. 6. Keeps informed of planning and activities of the Library, and of the general community, which relates to or impacts the work of the Foundation. Maintains an active membership in one or more community organizations. 7. Serves as editor and writer for the Foundation's newsletter, The Limited Edition. 8. Develops layout, graphics, and written content for publications such as brochures, flyers, and donor correspondence. 9. Drafts media releases and coordinates news conferences. 10. Works with the Board of Directors to develop a list of goals and objectives each year and develops, and periodically recommends, revisions to the strategic fundraising plan for future direction of the Foundation. Participates in the Library's strategic planning process. 11. Develops material for a planned giving program and works with Legacy Committee members to appropriate planned gifts. 12. Supervises the creation of an initial draft of the annual budget for use by the Finance Committee. 13. Reviews the Foundation's financial statements and budget. 14. Minimum three years of progressive experience in fundraising or public relations. Preferred: Working knowledge of graphic design, layout techniques, and graphic design software such Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.
