The Sales Account Executive generates advertising revenue by calling on established agencies and accounts, cold-calling new prospects, and convincing potential clients of the merits of audio and digital advertising.Additional Job Description: * Implements strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed revenue goals. * Develops integrated marketing campaigns using the tools available at WGN Radio and Nexstar Media Group, which include, but are not limited to:*
  • Radio Advertising in non-sports programming. * Digital Advertising, including but not limited to: OTT, Video, Social, Programmatic, and Email. * Select Sports Play-by-Play carried on WGN Radio. * Identify, develop, and expand existing clients, new clients & key account relationships. * Prepares and delivers sales presentations to clients. * Explains to customers how specific types of advertising will help promote products/services in the most effective way. * Provides clients with information regarding rates for advertising placement in all media. * Develops advertising schedules with clients and station personnel responsible for placing advertising into station media. * Works with clients and station personnel to develop advertisements. * Establishes credible relationships with the local business community. * Willingness to take on additional opportunities and perform other duties as assigned.Requirements & Skills: * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or Mass Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.* 2+ years of experience as an Account Executive or in sales, preferably in the media field * Experience with key verticals/categories investing in audio and digital. * Experience with high-value partnerships including prospecting, negotiating, etc. * Experience with digital media and/or extensive agency experience. * Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment. * Detail oriented and organized. * Excellent verbal, written, grammar and analytical skills. * Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
