Near is looking for a consultative Account Executive with demonstrated ability to land & expand large enterprise accounts. You should be confident, with an executive presence, and a graceful and creative objection handling skillset. You lead with insight and industry perspectives in your sales approach, with an ability to articulate how Nears solutions will solve customer pain points.

You'll be directly responsible for the preservation and expansion of our customer base. The ideal candidate will be comfortable doing their own prospecting and pipeline creation in addition to inbound and SDR qualified leads. You will also be comfortable developing and executing strategic account plans, selling "5 up and 5 across", and building trusted advisor executive relationships.

We expect you to be a coachable, adaptable self-starter with discipline in accepting training and skills development curriculum. Your overarching goal is to identify opportunities with prospects and new clients and build them into long-term profitable relationships.

A Day in the Life:

  • Sell into strategic Enterprise accounts via consultative, complex solution-oriented approach
  • Sell quantitative and qualitative value, including business case development, to VP, SVP, and C-level economic buyers
  • Carry and attain minimum bookings quota of $1.5m+ ACV from new logo and existing accounts; minimum $100-250k ACV to start
  • Sell data-as-a-service, insight-as-a-service, customer identity solutions, marketing and AdTech solutions
  • Partner with SDRs, and involve Solution Consultants, SMEs, technical experts, Customer Success, other sellers, Deal Desk, and Legal throughout the sales process
  • Sell to specific customer pain points and "care abouts" in a specific vertical
  • Create detailed business plans designed to attain predetermined goals and quotas
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal
  • Unearth new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long-term partnerships
  • Provide professional after-sales support to maximize customer loyalty
  • Remain in regular contact with your clients to understand and meet their needs
  • Respond to complaints and resolve issues to the customer's satisfaction and to maintain the companys reputation
  • Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales and data

What you bring to the role:

  • Proven experience as an Account Executive, or similar sales/customer service role
  • Bachelor's degree
  • An aggressive hunter mindset
  • Successful track record of high achievement/quota attainment -- e.g., multiple years in President's Club or top 10% seller
  • Deep familiarity and adherent to MEDDIC / MEDDPICC sales methodology, and Franklin Covey techniques
  • Specific industry/vertical expertise is a major advantage
  • Familiar and proficient with Hubspot and other sales platforms
  • Comfortable in high growth company environment
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Enthusiastic and passionate
