SUMMARY

Acts as an agent of broker assigned accounts, including servicing. solicitation and marketing activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Solicits new accounts to conduct cross selling, direct selling and cold calling;

  • Responsible for renewal business and soliciting additional lines of coverage;

  • Services accounts and provides claims assistance as needed;

  • Completes applications, obtains quotes, negotiates premiums and commissions, prepares proposals and presentations;

  • Binds coverage, prepares binders and delegates certificates;

  • Reviews coverage, identifies deficiencies and determines appropriate level of coverage;

  • Meets with clients as needed or directed by producer;

  • Reviews accounting history, responds to accounting inquiries, corrects discrepancies and contacts client on receivable collections;

  • Serves as technical expert, assisting department members to resolve complex issues;

  • Engages in optimal and appropriate usage of applicable agency management systems;

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

8 - 10 years related work experience

Valid insurance license

Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal

SKILLS

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Good problem solving and time management skills

Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork

Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Proficient in Agency Management System

Demonstrates proven extensive abilities and success with managing financial analyses to assess key aspects of M&A practices, preferably for a global network of professional services consulting firms, emphasizing the following areas: - Applying and interpreting U.S. federal income tax law as it relates to tax due diligence exercises, including Subchapter C corporations, partnerships, consolidated groups, corporate bankruptcies and insolvencies, tax efficient structuring and use of debt, the reorganization provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, and technical writing and reviewing of opinion letters and memoranda; - Identifying and addressing client needs: building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement; communicating value propositions; managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials; and, - Leading teams: supervising teams to create an atmosphere of trust; seeking diverse views to encourage improvement and innovation; and coaching staff including providing timely meaningful written and verbal feedback. Demonstrates success as tax technical business advisor, including developing new relationships, making introductions to sell new services and doing so with a "One Firm" service mindset. Preferred familiarity with a CRM system.
