JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting the lead Account Executives (A/E II and A/E III) daily activities on all Factoring relationships, with an emphasis on the daily purchasing and funding process. Specific areas of focus will be on Account Debtor organization and direct debtor contact.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initial review of client's accounts receivable invoice packages for terms of sale, quantities, and invoice totals, etc. and supporting collateral documents (time records, delivery documents, purchase orders, master service agreements etc.) for validity of advance request.

  • Understanding of an eligible Receivable as defined in the Purchase Agreement.

  • Input new account debtors in Factorsoft and input account debtors' credit limits (as required).

  • Direct contact to account debtors as assigned, confirm acknowledgement and document of Notice Letters. Conduct additional verification steps as required (direct debtor contact, on-line portal review, etc.). Present discrepancies to lead Account Executive for review.

  • Responsible for filing all documents pertaining to debtor relationships including Notice Letters, credit references, D&B reports, invoices purchased, assignment sheets etc.

  • Consistently processing incoming purchases and preparing releases for review by the Lead Account Executive assigned to the client as well as primary back-up during lead Executive absence.

  • Responsible for working knowledge of availability calculations and supporting reports.

  • Understanding of the SBF online portal and ability to field inquiries direct from clients as assigned by lead Executive.

  • Review client aging reports and spearhead collection efforts either directly with account debtors or with appropriate client accounting staff.

  • Work with Cash Application Team on unidentified / unapplied cash items to create maximum funding availability for assigned clients.

  • Utilize industry specific software (Factorsoft), Microsoft Office and Seacoast Bank on-line banking portals in order to perform daily tasks.

  • Cross train with and function as primary back up to Lead Account Executives.

  • Begin identifying areas of potential client/ debtor risk and elevate to the lead Executive.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business or Accounting/Finance preferred. Requirement may be waived if applicant has direct Factoring or Asset Based Lending experience.

  • 1-2 years of experience as an Account Executive in a commercial financial services firm/investment banking organization; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Previous experience in Factoring and/or Asset Based Lending a plus.
