We are seeking an incredible Media Executive to join our National Health Media Team (NHMT) out of New York. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team comprised of more than 30 media professionals across the country that works tirelessly to develop strong relationships with national, consumer health, broadcast, trade, regional and local journalists.
Lead select local, regional and trade media outreach with close consult from senior media lead
Offer informed media recommendations to internal teams
Develop and maintain master media lists with limited direction
Track and prepare media coverage and outreach summary reports in collaboration with account teams for clients
Create key media documents, including reporter briefing documents and pitch material
Conduct related media research focused on key media trends within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and wellness space highlighting key insights
At least one year of relevant experience in public relations, communications, media or marketing
Strong interest in health media relations, including healthcare, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical and wellness with a curiosity to continue learning
Effective organizational, communication and writing skills
Basic understanding of evolving media landscape, including paid, earned, owned and social
Efficient in critical thinking and problem solving
Ability to learn new media tools and build understanding for concepts on various media engagement approaches
Ability to research, interview, write and edit a range of media communications (bios, conference reports, media alerts, pitch emails, post-project recap reports)
