In this role, you'll be part of a sales "POD" that is compensated on your success and YOU will be compensated on theirs. Our unique sales approach fosters, nay demands, support, and collaboration! Are you ready to join a true sales TEAM that is not only relying on your success but will work with you to ensure it?

You will partner closely with your sales manager, sales trainers, and product sales specialists to grow sales across all product sets in your assigned territory. You'll accomplish this with your sales POD because every account belongs to the team and everyone works together to succeed. You will also enjoy the support of your own dedicated sales support admin team that will alleviate administrative tasks to ensure you're spending more time in front of prospects and clients.

As an Account Executive, you will engage in the activities that lead to opportunities and success.

  • Telephone prospecting & face to face cold calling

  • Conducting client needs analysis

  • Building solutions that include Hardware, Software, and Managed Services

  • Conducting solutions demonstrations

  • Presenting and closing solutions offers

  • Managing clients throughout the lifecycle of their contracts

This is obviously a true hunter sales position and those more inclined to babysit accounts that were already landed by others will not fair too well in this more venturesome environment.

If you have a proven track record of new account acquisition through cold calling and prospecting in a SOLO SALES ENVIRONMENT and are ready to join a team that will work towards team, and by proxy, individual success, this very well may be an excellent sales career move for you.

We are NOT looking for self-proclaimed "rainmakers" or "rock stars." We are seeking reliable/trustworthy disciplined, self-motivated and highly competitive candidates to join our winning sales team.

Basic Qualifications:

  • TWO-year sales experience in a business to business environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Business or another related field

  • Four years previous outside sales experience business to business sales environment

We're looking for a driven, solutions-based seller eager to represent our vast range of broadcast and digital product offerings. WHAT WE NEED: * Utilizes knowledge of the industry, the competition, and the client to develop and execute client strategies * Develops new and incremental revenue by securing appointments with local businesses to discuss our interactive, digital and television products * Retains and expands existing key accounts through insight proposals, proof of performance, and maximizing station assets * Provides exceptional customer service to new and existing advertisers * Build strong relationships with existing and new customers especially in the Bryan/College Station area * A person that knows Bryan/College Station and a willingness to be involved in business and civic organizations * Communicates effectively with internal clients and internal personnel * Positively and professionally represent KAGS and TEGNA Media at all times . Job Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS * College degree with minimum 2-3 years' media sales experience preferred * Knowledge of all facets of digital sales and marketing. * Product knowledge must include: Targeted display, Social, SEO & OTT. * Digital sales ability/knowledge a plus * Excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate with decision makers at all levels * Proven relationship-building and influencing skills required * Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced environment in office or at home. * Ability to efficiently organize workload and workflow is critical * Strong written and communication skills * Ability to work well with an internal support team * Strong desire to learn and become entrenched in the ever-evolving digital marketplace * A valid driver's license, proof of insurance and dependable vehicle required * Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint * Wide Orbit and Salesforce experience a plus About TEGNA: TEGNA Inc.
