The Account Executive is a full-time outside business-to-business sales professional who is responsible for gaining new market share in a given territory and for retaining and growing current accounts.


  • Articulate and position Martin Whalen products, services and solutions to key decision makers

  • Aggressively pursue competitive accounts and differentiate Martin Whalen from competitors

  • Manage the entire sales cycle across customer accounts, engaging specialists as needed

  • Propose and close sales that achieve total revenue growth, profit and customer satisfaction plans

  • Keep abreast of changes in technology and understanding of basic user abilities

  • Prepare daily/weekly action plans by individuals as well as by team to insure focused activity

  • Sustain sales activities; appointments, demos, proposals, cold calls, dials and database updates

  • Meet or exceed revenue and gross profit expectations

  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Excellent communication (oral and written and presentation skills)

  • Personal drive and internal motivation toward high achievement

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented environment

  • Ability to influence, negotiate and gain commitment at all organizational levels

  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability; willingness to take risks and try new approaches


  • BS/BA degree in business or other related field preferred

  • Previous business-to-business sales experience or internship preferred

  • Valid driver's license and minimum levels of auto insurance coverage

VIEW JOBS 10/18/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-16T00:00 Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Account Management & Business Development, this role is responsible for leading new business development efforts and expanding existing business with our clients within the med-tech industry while leveraging the broader Kaleidoscope team. This person will present the company's services and grow the overall book of business. Kaleidoscope is open to discussions regarding the location of this role. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Business Development * Proactively seek out, engage and develop new business opportunities within the med-tech industry by employing various sales tactics * Foster strategic relationships with current med-tech clients in order to proactively lead account development efforts within the med-tech portfolio * Educate current and prospective clients by presenting and promoting the extensive service offerings of Kaleidoscope * In partnership with sales leadership, develop account plans and define sales growth strategies for key accounts * Meets or exceeds defined sales objectives/goals * Assist with Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Statements of Work (SOW) that highlights Kaleidoscope's unique capabilities * Maintain contacts and report sales activities in CRM database * Represents the client in internal Kaleidoscope meetings with a clear understanding of client's unique needs, challenges, etc. * Effectively interface with the operational design teams on client requirements including product designers, interaction designers, engineers, developers, visualization designers, researchers and project managers.
