The Account Executive position reports directly to an Area Sales Vice President. The Account Executive will work with the Managing Director in the Connecticut and New York market to grow new and retention sales while achieving assigned annual new business and account quotas.

Job responsibilities:

  • Grow assigned client accounts in your region

  • Strengthen client partnerships by establishing relationships with multiple key contacts within the organization including executive level contacts

  • Plan and strategize to expand client revenue through upsell/cross-sell

  • Prepare proposals and quotes for retention opportunities with assigned clients and prospects

  • Manage the Agreement process for renewals and growth opportunities with assigned clients

  • Prospect, account plan, and close assigned prospects in your region

  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships with key stakeholders and appropriate buyer personas through consistent prospecting activities

  • Conduct follow-up communications to progress opportunities through the sales funnel

  • Manage data for new and prospective clients, ensuring all communications are logged and information is accurate

  • Prepare proposals and quotes for assigned prospects

  • Work with corporate office on proposals and RFPs for assigned accounts

  • Manage Agreement process for new opportunities with assigned accounts

  • With Client Success as lead, provide support and retain assigned accounts in your region

  • Work closely with Client Success to develop and deliver client strategy reviews annually for assigned accounts

  • Connect regularly with Client Success contacts supporting assigned accounts to strategize and discuss client needs

  • Grow O.C. Tanner brand in assigned area

  • Work with Marketing teams on events and campaigns in sales area.

  • Expand your network and grow the O.C. Tanner brand and your personal brand in your area by attending industry events, tradeshows, effectively using social media, etc.

  • Become an expert in the recognition industry through constant learning and review of market trends, industry publications, etc. Be very familiar with trends affecting HR, engagement, culture, etc.
