Position Summary:

Capsicum Re is a full-service international reinsurance broker, working in partnership with Gallagher as its reinsurance intermediary.

To act as an Account Executive for Capsicum Re in the best interests of the company. The role is to identify new business opportunities and retain renewal business by utilising the team of resource around them.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for both new and renewal business

  • Identifying new business opportunities and work on developing into a new client

  • Structure advice on placements (using the intel that Placing Brokers and Analytics compile)

  • Conduct Client and Lead Reinsurer Term negotiations

  • Take the lead on all complex Client or Reinsurer communication

  • Leading the Placing Team and Analytics team for RFP's

  • Provide clear communication and on how and when the RFP should be compiled

  • Contribute own knowledge and experience to RFP's in particular with structure and price

  • Manage own workload in order to effectively service the customer relationship and ensure that customer deadlines are met in line with required service level agreement.

  • Carry out duties following internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, good governance and Gallagher's shared values, in particular, putting clients at the heart of our business

  • Ensure all colleagues working on their account adheres to process and procedure

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years related experience, License required.

Desired:

  • Professional designation such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) preferred. Excellent sales capabilities; outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

U.S. Eligibility Requirements:

  • Eligible to work in the US
