Position Overview

The Account Director, US Market Access, is a newly created role, critical to the success of our upcoming launches and will be responsible for ensuring rapid and comprehensive access for ADC's products and providing reimbursement support for all key stakeholders. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Payer Team, this position will play a key role in the commercial potential of each product in the portfolio and the evolution of the company portfolio overall. Most importantly, this position will be responsible for ensuring the successful launch of ADC's products, including its lead product ADCT-402, Loncastuximab tesirine or "Lonca".

The Account Director is responsible for facilitating the introduction, education, pull-through and access/reimbursement of approved products with all assigned national/regional commercial payers, Medicare/Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug Plans, FFS Medicaid/Managed Medicaid and other federal/state agencies or integrated delivery network accounts as assigned. Subsequent implementation of the strategy and tactics will be driven through alignment of the strategy with defining critical success factors, key performance indicators, and the supporting tactics for ADC's products. This individual will need to work closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access Execution/Operations, Payer Marketing, Brand Marketing, Sales, Channel/Distribution, and Finance/Contract Management teams on a routine basis to ensure alignment in a dynamic matrix environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute all U.S. Market Access strategies.

  • Single point of contact for market access supporting Sales Leadership/Field Sales: Oncology State Societies, Clinical Pathway organizations and Corporate Memberships

  • Launch ADCTs Patient Services in the market place

  • Strategically support high volume providers to support product adoption and reimbursement of ADCT brands

  • Secure appropriate formulary status/medical policy and payment for ADC's products with

  • targeted payers, plans and monitor coverage status accordingly to ensure access to ADC's products.

  • Partner with Medical Affairs, HEOR, Brand Marketing, Payer Marketing as appropriate to develop customized messaging, holistically address the effective implementation of account strategy with respect to pull-through across customer-facing teams for target accounts.

  • Develop/strengthen key relationships with account senior management and decision makers to effectively plan, initiate, and conduct account negotiations.

  • Leverage internal and external data sources as well as customer insights to advance coverage objectives.

  • Support a team approach to focus on our patients and customers as our top priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree. MBA or other relevant graduate degree preferred

  • 10+ years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience, including at least 5 years of experience in areas such as market access, managed care, distribution, contracting and pricing, health economics and outcomes research, with deep experience in the U.S. market access & reimbursement landscape

  • Oncology therapeutic area experience required

  • Biotech or pharmaceutical US marketplace launch experience preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of market access strategy, opportunities and risks for the Team

  • Strong negotiating skills required

  • In depth understanding of all relevant US legal, compliance and regulatory requirements required

  • Demonstrated success in working in a multidisciplinary setting, strong cooperative team player, ability to be agile, flexible and adapt to a changing and complex environment
